This will be my second grow journal. In the past I have had some real nice plants but battled with mites. I decided to get some ladybugs and that has helped tons, thanks ladies .

I have a nice room with panda on the walls. Veg under 4ft T5 and flower under 1400watts of HPS. I was running aero in the past but plan to switch over to flood and drain due to convenience and maintenance issues.

Right now I have 6 strains;

I have 4 big plants (still in vegin old DIY aeros I made) that I took cutting from and plan to flower really soon.
The LA and King I only have clones of right now.

I also plan to show how I make my new system. Probably would be a good idea to show you my old system to and let others know my reasons for changing over.

first pic is what i used to use in each tote holding 2 plants.

I will be building a 5gallon ebb and flow system for flower room. I already have most of the supplies for that. I also want to make some sort of flood table for my veg room. The plan is to set it up so I can have 4 plants done every 20 days.

On a side note does anyone know of a way to stop lady bugs from flying into my circulating fans and getting chopped to pieces?
I already covered one with screen but it restricts the air flow way to much to really be effective as a fan any more.

hmm might jus make the veg room DWC instead of flood tables. I used to use the aero 20 machine and boy what a pain in the ass. I think setting up DWC with 5 gal buckets so they can be moved to the flower room 5 gal ebb&flow with ease.

fixed my exhaust, making it go outside. I also mixed up some Azatrol and sprayed/dipped my plants. Gotta kill these fucking mites!!!! Might jus end up using no pest strips, will do some more research.

Ive been using neem oil for pests.. Whats Azatrol???? Nice plants anyways

its just the stuff the local shop had.
I know that mites are a huge problem in my area and the people i know who use hot shots no pest strips have no mites. I might try those for a bit to make sure that all the little bastards die.

I stayed up late hooking my exhaust vent up to my chimney just so I can go to chemical warfare with those bastards! I also included a sketch of how I plan to setup the room.

Once I get this shit all together and the bugs under control my grow is gonna go BOOOOOOOOOM!

It has been less than 1 week and the clones in the riot rooters are already showing roots. I just flood the day like once a day for awhile and when all the cubes have soaked up some water i drain the tray. I let the cubes almost dry and then flood again. Seems like a good product as long as they do good in the DWC and Ebb&flow systems I am gonna run.

Also got a HotShots NoPest Strip for the room. Its being vented outside so shouldn't be much to worry about.

I also moved my Main Res and R/O machine today and ordered the fittings and tubing to complete my DWC and Ebb systems.

a little info on the active ingredient in Hot Shots No Pest Strips.

well i just took a look at the plants and could not find a mite that was alive. Tons of eggs still present so prob gonna keep the pest strip up until I see new growth that stays egg free. Lady bugs are in the frig, was tryin to hold off until after Sunday when i plan to spray Azatrol one more time.

Sounds like you got your setup going your way.....check out my current grow..did a lot of research over the past few months before I got started.....still have to get my 8" vortex duct fan setup and my 6"x16" phresh carbon filter setup....and co2...but check it out. keep updating...will stay tuned.

i vent my 1000w HPS and the room with 8 inch inline fans, i also read a lot while making my room but really jus getting it squared away. its been almost 1yr already, def a learning curve involved.

FedX jus dropped off the rest of the supplies to build my setup, weeeeeeeeeeee. Just gotta figure out what size hole I need for these 3/4" grommets.

I used a 1 and 1/16 inch hole saw for the 3/4 inch grommets. Made and water tested 9 buckets so far that dont leak.

I need to add a drain kit for all my 5gal buckets......any ideas?
