Speaker Box Stealth Grow.

I just finished building my new grow box. its not big, about 19in tall by 11in wide and 8in deep. Im using one of those 13W twirly fluorescent bulbs. ive had good luck with them and they give off barley any heat. i had the light on in the box for an hour and it was only 80 degrees in it. here are some pictures. let me know what you think from your experience please.



the last pic is of my new kitty. his name is Riggo Mc Sox.

I'd paint the inside white....turn the bulb sideways for more light..up the wattage to at least a 26 watt warm (2700) bulb...and add some type of ventilation (at least some holes on the top and bottom areas...this will allow for some convection type ventilation if you don't want to add a fan.

Is this a vegitation room?

Ither way, pretty much like 4ad said, more light, paint white and air. That box wont be big enough for more than the first 2 weeks, even with 1 plant. Otherwise its nice and stealthy.

thanks for the help so far. i was going to veg. and flower one plant in it. its all i need. the veg. i was going to do for 1 week 24 light. i heard it works well on this site somewhere.
and btw, the first pic up there is with the lights on. its nice and light proof. And how much is one of those 26 warm watts and whats the difference?

The "warm" refers to the "color" of the light ...when in vegitation the plant likes a "cool" or "blue" light which is a HIGHER number (6500).

During flowering the plant prefers a "warm" or "red" spectrum of light,which is a LOWER number (3700)
If I were you with that limited space...I'd just start flowering as soon as the plants pop soil, the plant is still going to get 12-18" tall...and it won't have all those extra leaves (which you're not going to smoke anyway)...It'll basically be one long bud which is easier to light properly...also you'll have bud sooner..so just set the timer for 12/12...and fuck all that vegging shit!!!

The lights are like 3 for $8 (usa) at wallmart

The only way I veg is outdoors of course...but indoors with limited space,you want to maximise that space with buds...not a bunch of fan leaves blocking the light...saves on the elec bill as well.

Not really in that small space...you need quite a bit of lateral space for LST...but you may have to try it if your plant is already a foot or so tall.

The space os very small. Like mentioned paint it white inside or get some mylar from the dollar store.Its wrapping paper called poly wrap 20 feet for a buck. You will need a fan blowing on the plant and taking air out. That 1 cfl wont get you any bud per say maybe a quarter at best for 12 weeks of growing so itd be easier and cheaper to buy it. For veg get the white light bulb and then go to that warm redder color you have. You can get actual 65 watt cfls for about $20 a piece at like Menards or lowes.Lst wont help your gonna wanna lollipop in this grow box to consintrate on the main cola and nothing more.Veg it til your ready to flower remembering you need 6 nodes from seed to be mature and that the plant will double in heoght mnimal probably more so topping may help to. To lollipop you cut off the lower 3rd of the growth completely so no lower branches are there and the plant grows a bigger main cola and if toped you get 2 coloas. Good luck

You should try a little bigger... You live in florida or something? The reason I ask is because I do and they are busting grow houses left and right...I'm scared to do 1 plant, fuckers..

well when u LST it wate for the 4th node to grow out then tie down gradually. After a couple of weeks you should have little branches growing out. When those branches start to alternate nodes (grow one at a time) then you flower and the height will double.
