Speckles and blotches and wet blankets

Hi.

First post. Im a frequent lurker on these forums. What a great site. There's a wealth of knowledge here.

Ill try keep my story short.

Ive noticed these yellow speckles on the edges of some leaves on one or two ladies. and it seems to be getting worse. It seems to start in the middle and work up. My guesse based on hours of reading and browsing is a calcium defenciancy.

In the last 2 days ive noticed these yellow blotches on 2 plants. This I don't have a guesse for. Also seems to be middle of yhe plant.

Some info.

Grown in 50%coco/perlite mix.
4 weeks into flowering.
Temps 27-28 celsius day
25-27 celsius night.
Humidity on 50-55%
1000 watt hps lamps about 55cm from plants(no edge curling so i figured its good)
A ton of circulation

Now for the food. This might be longer...

Ec of 1.4.
Ph 5.8-6.0
I used to follow labels and hold my breathe through my grows. Always on top of environment and just as on top of that feeding schedule . After a few hours working through sone uncle ben threads i realized some things... Deep things. . Im learning to read my plants now and attempting to read the content and npk ratio of the bottles instead of the "feeding schedule"

Ill be honest im stressing.I had a cosey fake blanket of bullshit created by those charts and it gave me false security. This grow i have alot on the line and after all the reading was doubting my schedule... As well as my solution.. Then i had some nitrogen claws growing and that was sort of the last nail so to speak before I took action. I cant hold ny breathe this time.

Ive been using general hydroponics coco specific range.
The grow is NPK 4-0-3
And the bloom 1-2-3

My conclusion after my research was that a ratio of 123 or 132 would be good for flowering. So i scanned the labels and as far as micro nutrients go, the two bottles are almost identical, the grow has a bit more iron. the label says to use 1.5ml/liter grow and 3.5ml bloom at an ec of around 2, i think. Ive worked up to an ec of 1.5 and started noticing tip burn so been at 1.4 . Then in a bold move i decided to drop the grow completely and just use bloom at 4ml/liter . This is where my blanket of bullshit got wet and my breath ran out. And then 4 days later... The new growth on the claw plants is coming out flat but the speckles are creeping up and the yellow blotches appeared.

Please tell me if i made a mistake going for the bloom only. And any opinions on the leaves will be greatly appreciated.

If i can give any more info that can help ill do my best to get it

Thank you!

Ive attached 2 pics I took of some buds at 21 days into flower.

Hello Have you seen any Bugs ? Look under the leafs with loupe or scope. If you see any we can go from there.

I really hope its not bugs. Good Luck I am hoping it's just a def. Keep me Posted plz.

I'm not familiar with the coco-tek line of GH nutes, but it does appear to be the start of a Ca def. Not really uncommon on coco grows. Cal-mag will stop it.

Thanks very much for the replies. Its much appreciated.

@Bear420 i have been inspecting the leaves and although i have found a few thrips im pretty confident these speckles on the edges are not insect damage. Ive just, dare i say, tamed, a spider mite outbreak as well as a small thrip issue. So im very aware of what the bites look like.

@GBAUTO thats what im also leaning towards. I normally use hydroton, but this grow i teamed up with a friend who allready started in coco. Because i suspected the cal mag thing i got some a few days ago just in case. I am giving them the first dose now. I also discovered today that the coco was not buffered. This gives me more reason to think that. So what i did was i mixed the calmag at about three quarter strength and then added my nutes till i got to an ec of 1.4 again. Ph balanced to 5.8 and am now feeding them this.

Thanks again for the help. I hope this wont have a negative effect on the crop.

Happy growing
