Thanks. I'm focusing on smell and flavor right now. I've organized my current strains into 3 groups:
1) fruit,
2) gas,
3) nuts/baked goods/pb&J.
I've got 3-4/each. Organizing strains like a food menu (taste, smell) should help me see what I've got, what's doing well, and what I need.
I'd like an intensely peppery strain, I don't have one yet. And I'm kind of getting sick of multi-color, sweet buds. High THC, but not all that interesting.. Most strains I have started from expensive regular seeds. So, I was happy to find a good deal on feminized
Pepper Jack Haze seeds at
Herbies Seeds/Headshop, bred in Spain by Black Skull Seeds.
Although Pepper Jack Haze's THC tops out at ~23%, it will serve its purpose in my rotation if its pepper smell and flavor are intense. Plus, Herbies Seeds let me choose two free strains; so, I went with a lemon/marshmallow/other (Lemon Amnesia) and a somewhat citrus/spicy (BCN Critical XXL). Neither is redundant in my current rotation and all three are feminized photos (i.e., cheaper and easier than my last 6 months).
