Spider mites 2 weeks from flower!

I tried to search for spider mite posts (in the search bar) and i got an error message, so I figured that i would just post this. I have spider mites 2 weeks from harvest. Can anyone tell me what the best approach would be to getting these bugs off of my crop? Is there any home made teas I could try? Should I hose the plants off? I have some Azamax, but i do not want to use that stuff until next grow.
Essentially I would like to know whether I should use some spray concotion, or just hose them down with some pure water through a jet sprayer?

These work really well.

You can get them at Lowes, Home Depot, Wal Mart, etc.... Also increasing your air flow will cause the habitat to be unsuitable for them. We've learned when you fuck with an organism's environment, genocide happens.

2 weeks from harvest? This close I'd just use a vacuum and keep the destruction to a dull roar.

Uh huh, well seeing how they are sticky as hell they seem to do well not coming off and this is a common practice in organic pest control.

But some guys like gassing their crops and consuming chemicals, do your thing I guess.

Yea, they actually come off fairly easily. Vacuum them up though, it's your crop :wink:

Neem that shit heavy every day and keep a fan blowing. kill them with your fingers its war! Stick traps help a little. Continue to neem once a week even once they are gone to prevent.

Neem oil works, but they will become immune to it. I recommend having at least 2 other ways, besides neem oil, to rotate in. Mighty Wash, no pest strips, there's a guy on here that has a nice tutorial for using peppers, great way for the organic grower. Having 3 ways of killing them, without harming your plant, and you will never stress over them again.

Also, it's been shown that increasing air flow can prevent them from settling in your garden in the first place. And enough wind can make it inhabitable for them. Obviously don't go overboard.

I just had this exact problem 2 weeks before harvest. I sprayed underneath the leaves of each plant with a low strength Azamax solution. I LOVE Azamax, and dip my ladies in it when they're about 2 weeks old, and again before they go into the flowering room. I ran my fans on high and put my dehumidifier on max for 24 hours after spraying 2 weeks before harvest (didn't want to get bud rot). It really did the trick, there were still mites but they didn't multiply much at all. Good luck...

View attachment 1833960Get one of these from the dollar store if you have webs, spin them right off. Get some Mighty Wash by NPK, there is a youtube video on the stuff. Works amazing and can be used until last day. Good luck

And gas yours with chemicals, it's your health. My microscope tells me they are still there after years of doing it this way, and I tend to trust what I can see with my own eyes. Besides, you never asked what my vac setup was or how I accomplish this and just automatically took to the soap box, you just assumed you knew something and shot from the hip without so much as a single question.

Do you by any chance use co2, Co2 at a rate of around 3000 ppm will off those little fuckers and not effect your plants in any way shape or form

you can use mitey wash...if those lil pricks tented over the buds, spray this immediately...for those that have criticisms about doing this, the wash is 99% water...i used this 3 days before cutting and the girls smelled heavenly and STILL smoked amazing.

2 weeks from harvest, your gtg with this.

Way to support your opinion.

1.5hp shop vac with 2.5'' x 12'' attachment that I made from a plastic core, that way the I can fit the pipe down over the cola without knocking trics off of anything but a few sugar leaves. Again, I only do this is if I have a problem with less than 2-3 weeks before they finish because I don't want my smoke tasting like neem. Crops that I've vacuumed had same potency/effect as a non-vacuumed crop.

And when do they become "immune" to neem, because the world has been using it for thousands of years and it's still killing the fuck out of them. I've been using it myself for a couple years and it has had a 100% success rate each time.

We can keep doing this, but you are going to lose because I'm right.

I just ran into the same problem, i found out they like dry environments, so i bought a small humidifier but those can cause molding when flowering. I heard really good things about liquid ladybug, or you can make a home remedy from murphys liquid soap (for hardwood floors) alcohol, hot pepper, and garlic. i have to add though when you spray pepper and garlic on your plants the grains look like little spider mites. I also bought a 1 ounce bottle of floramite (concentrated miticide) off ebay for 17 dollars which seemed to work. you need to combat them for a couple weeks cause they are resilient little bastards. good luck
