Spider Mites Help

Week 1 flowering noticed a light spider mite infest ran to hydro store guy sells me Azatrol hydro and tells me 1/4oz in 1 gallon water spray once a week. My question is any reviews on this product and tips for Spider Mites

Never used that specific one, but I've had good luck using Azamax. Apply once every 3-4 days on both tops and bottom of leaves. Either way, you need to hit them hard before the buds really start filling in. You've got about a 3 week window....

Yeah.....just have adequate air flow..........I use lavender oil with dawn soap.Kills spider mites and eggs.

It is. Obviously do it while lights are off (or shortly before they go off or come on), and have some air circulating.

how much lavender oil per gallon, and thanks for the post. I have been using tobacco juice, organic dish soap, and ghost pepper extract. It kills good and fast, but not the eggs. Can I mix with Lavender with anything?

Strong dose 1 oz per gallon, regular dose 1/2 oz per gallon.....I mix about 3-5 ml of dawn dish soap directly to the lavender oil to emulsify it, then add to water in that order........

It wasnt easy but I gave up...waved a white flag and started over. I was sick of spraying that shit and this shit all over and just getting temp relief from the little bastards. My oath...'I promise to never take a cutting from anyone EVER even tho they swear theres no mites'. Mighty wash was the best I tried.

azatrol and azamax are some strong shit, do as @st0wandgrow said and hit them up on regular intervals when the lights are off, make sure they dry before lights are on, good air circulation helps.

mites breed faster under hotter temps and drier conditions, so cooler temps and wetter conditions will make your job easier. you have to spray several times to kill any missed eggs that might hatch and can only do it until week 2 or 3 of flower. so keep on top of it.

Habenero pepper spray works really well. Don't breath it or get it on your hands, face, eyes, etc.

You can make your own spray cheaper than store bought stuff. There's a recipe posted on this forum, follow it and your mites are fucked.

veg tent got spider mite looks bad knew something was wrong with plants few weeks ago pick up a clone
had to get from that one ( small tent lot of plants )

ALWAYS rotate your mite spray if u got a repeat or heavy infestation.

I use Azamax, 3in1, and mighty wash, in a revolving cycle, spraying every 3 days until I see no more of them...

Then 3in1 or neem oil as a preventative.

yep, you can mix it up. that actually helps so the mites don't adapt to one treatment or the other.

gotta do it with lights off otherwise the oils will burn the leaves to a crisp.

Get on the atmosphere too. Lower humidity and lower temps = slower breeding rate for the mites. This can be crucial in tents. Some times u gotta drop an AC in for a week just to keep it like 65-68f n suck the RH down while you kill the bugs...

Remember only the super duper omfg expensive mite spray kills the eggs, so spray, wait, spray, wait, spray again.

i've always heard and read higher humidity and lower temps to slow down the mites' reproductive cycle.

Im so paranoid I might even get mites from reading this thread

been watching my buba saying to myself whats the small white spots but did not see them. standing there smoking and looking what the hell see a spot move pull leaf off put under microscope WOW those things are tiny

i think i got them from here the other night trolling around

I have had only 1 mite attack since I have started growing. I don't really have a recipe to sell, but what I did after that attack and have done since then is all on going preventative measures. First off I have one of those Automatic bug sprayers at the entrance of my grow room that hangs up high and it is filled with a Pyrethrum spray. It doesn't spray directly on the plants but over the top of the high traffic area (the entrance to the room) and the oscillating fans distribute the micro mist intervals around the room. I was suss about doing this at first but then at a veggie garden centre I saw a pyrethrum spray for pest in your veggie patch and thought well I am eating raw veggie all the time and I guess this is safe if they sell it to control pest in veggie patches. Also I use an Eco-oil that I fill in a spray bottle and spray the walls, corners, pot bases etc etc, pretty much everything except for the plants themselves and about every 3 weeks or so. With this practice I have not had another mite outbreak since, so it must be working and I have 3 dogs that follow up to the door of the grow room/shed (they don't come inside the room, just up to the door while I am getting there) and running women's pantyhose as a filter from my fresh air intake

i just use a shop vac to suck off web and mites then spray with azamax and that clears up even the really bad infestations. no need for super expensive sprays imo.
