spider mites

I was looking at some clones that a bro gave me and guess what I have spider mites. I got rid of the ones with the most Webb's and sprayed the remaining 2 with alcohol and moved them away from my other plants. should I try to keep them or just get rid of them?

You've dealt with them I can't see any problems with keeping them now if you were thorough, I'd be very careful if I had other plants to spread them onto and maybe give them another treatment in 3/5 days.

I've been reading about the benefits of sulphur against spider mite If you want to look into that.

Good luck.

I tried to kill them with alcohol sprayed three times in three days but still had them so I got rid of the clones I'm kinda sad but maybee someday I will find some #1 skunk clones that don't have bugs

That's too bad that you tossed them - cause you could have saved them and not spray with any alcohol. I had the little fucks on some cuts too - and got rid of them with plain pH water in a spray bottle. And I sprayed them three or four times each hour for three to four days.

three or four times per hour for three to four days that is two hundred sixteen to three hundred and eighty four times. that is a lot of work to save some clones. so how did you do it ? did you stay awake for four days spraying every 15 minutes or did you set an alarm and get up and spray every 15 minutes?

No - sorry I should have mentioned this - I only sprayed them for the hours that I was awake. The mites don't propagate that quickly. Then you spray them again for a few days after, once every couple of hours.

I did this after the cuts rooted = and FYI I root them in Pro Mix/Sunshine Mix. Held them over the sink then soaked the tops. I carefully flipped them upside down and drowned the underside too. Left the water drip in the sink and left the water on the leaves and in the nodes - then repeated. After a couple of days, I reduce the sprays to once every couple of hours..

I wouldn't accept clones from anyone.. but if I did I would stuff them in a plastic container with a few vent holes, and toss in a hot shot no pest strip for a few days. Somewhere you don't have to breath it in. Before anyone complains about the active ingredients, you should know they use that stuff everywhere, especially on imported stuff. Every container that crosses the sea, whether it has food or other items. Half the stuff you own has probably been gassed out with dichlorvos at some point.
