Split 1000 watt Ballast

There's a space that can fit two air cooled hoods in it, there 2 1000 watt ballasts but there's only a 15 amp fuse for the room. Would it be better to use 1 1000watt bulb and ballast or split the 1000 watt ballast into 2 600 watts? Anyone used the splitters before? Are they safe?

Sure can split it. I use them and they work just fine. Have you ever super cropped, lst'ed?
