split and transplant?

First timer.
before I new better i planted two in one pot. they are about 4 weeks of flowering. should I just let them compete, try to transplant them, or chop one which i really don't want to do. Could I cut the soil then separate or just pull gently if I transplant.

One more thing. if one showed signs of being a hermi (cut the two balls off). I think it was from a light leak. Think I fixed the leak. Will the hermi trait continue or stop?

Thanks for any advice.

That late into flowering you better let them be. Untangling roots is rather difficult and risky, especially for a noobie.

I have never had a hermie, but I believe it continues and you will have to snip off balls through harvest.

Ditto on letting the be...its not even that bad of a move, be sure to water evenly AND often. If it's all head stash don't trip on the hermi fact, stay on top of the balls but worst case you'll get a few seeds but you'll still get some good buds! Stay with it man!
