That’s what I thaught but there r no bugs or nymphs anywhere I can. See just the spots and snail trails that tell me it’s thrips I’m in 6 week of flowering any suggestions

Thrips. I just had em, used ortho bug b gone eco. Worked 100%. Had to apply it 2x. And I super cropped all damaged leaves just to make sure I got all the eggs. That was a week ago. Keeping watch might have to do it again after 2 weeks according to instructions.

You can see the little facker crawling in the middle of the leaf here. The tell tale dmg to the leave though, definitely a thrip.

Definitely dont use ortho bug be gone. Unless you dont value living. Has Bifenthrin as the active ingredient which the EPA lists as cancer causing.

Spinosad is less risky. But I wouldnt use it week 6.

If it were me id remove affected leaves and try and manage it as best as possible. Would remove a ton of fan leaves. They live under the fan leaves and in the ridges. This is where they hide.

Possibly get predatory insects. I had a thrip issue 2 years ago around this time I remember cause all the beneficial insect places were closed cause christmas.

I used Spinosad, but I was only week 3.

Those black specks are thrip frass (poop) and the damage is from their rasping jaws. They suck chlorophyll from the leaves

I’m thinking lady bugs might help I’m gonna try that and see

(keep your grow warm for swirskii

Seems like it has a long lead time (7 days) and the holiday is near. So ladybugs are more readily available at hydro stores. swirskii is sort of a niche item.

Make sure any grow lights are sealed up or else they will flock to it and fry up.

Sorry I dont have any other bug advise. I aim to prevent getting bugs rather than trying to rid my grow of bugs.

Bug b gone eco is pretty mild, and won't hurt buds, plus you can give your plants a shower an hour after applying it

I would rather use spinosad this late in flower than pyrethrin, but everyones appetite for risk is different.

Im more of a cautious/worrier type of person.
