sprayed for mites now i have the claw :-( , anybody have some tips?

so just like the title says, i found an infestation of mites on some clones that where given to me(of course) so i sprayed all the plants in the room. i used einsteins neem oil with some mite spray from safers(find out the name later).....well 3-4 days prior when i found the mites i made up a spray mixed up with lice shampoo and water 32-1, seemed to work well. anyway after 3 days i found all the smaller leaves to be shriveled up, some burnt tips and off color. i tested my ph and it seemed to be higher then usual 7.6-7.8. my ph was always 6.3-6.4 fresh from the tap so i would always air it out over night before use and i guess over time i became lazy and stopped testing all the time so i'm unsure how long my ph has been outta whack. rh 70-60, temp 76 day 68 night, plants are still vegging but i wanted to 12-12'em in a day or 2. should i get this straightened out first or is this minor?
its really got me worried because it has an effect on all my plants, not just a couple.
anybody have an idea?

Give em a good wash with plain water n a good flush with plain Ph tap water...they will recover in a week or so.

Don't use that lice shampoo concoction again...use azamax

the safer spray i used is "end all II", should i spray again like i'm supposed to or should i wait till the plants are back to 100%......i guess there goes putting them into flower in the next day. lol

i am using green planets full product line and i'm following their feeding schedule. i am also adding hydrotek's "power pack".
i am on week 6 veg and for the last 2 weeks i have been just following week 4's range.

You know the tap water Ph can fluctuate with the weather....that one pic looks like an abundance of nitrogen ...good flush should help fix all problems.

Like corso said, I would consider doing a flush with properly balanced ph'd water. DO NOT throw those into flower right now. Flowering can hinder some of the processes you might have to go through to fix your plants. You def want to be sure that the mites are gone first.

When the mites come back and they will get a little serious and hit them with something like forbid 4f and the follow it up again according to the instructions. Best to dip newly aquired clones in avid before planting..
Ebay! Mites eat the above insecticides for lunch. Neem azamax ect..

no, sprayed them 5 min after lights out. the leafs look dry but they still are moist to the touch, not dried out at all.
i have dealt with problems in the past but issues like these where u cant find a case of a similar scenario gets me worried.....especially when its the whole crop that is affected.

now i dont wanna respray till the plants are back to normal.....damn mites. i guess i could neem oil the plants still, shouldnt cause anymore damage or slow down the healing process either, will it?

i thought safers end all II was one of the best? same with einsteins neem oil?? im always down with using something better so i'll look into azamax.

Your plants look toxicity burnt... Probably from the chemical in the shampoo. They will most likely recover but it is possible that they will get worse before they get better. They might loose all their leaves and only have the fresh new growth until it grows more that wasn't exposed.... That is extreme however. I have seen people, who did not shake up their sprayer the whole time, getting to the last little bit and it is all oil, and that happened. The plants were all shiny like yours too........ How much neem did you add per gallon?

I personally love just plane old neem oil. I use dyna gro just because of price. As long as it is cold pressed I really don't care but the dyna gro is cheep! I mix one Tbs per gallon and add a half teaspoon of NON-anti-bacterial soap. SHAKE UP YOUR SPRAYER EVERY COUPLE PLANTS!!!! Spray the whole plant once every three days for two weeks and your good. It also protects plants from PM. I find it mush better then any isolated chemical as it doesn't stress the plant. Actually the converse is true, it is beneficial. Neem is also beneficial to humans. As you can tell I like neem

good luck and don't give up on them, at the worst they are two weeks behind where you want them.

I have seen that claw when sprayed with lights off but ambient lighting was still on. Also a mix that is too strong could result in that.

Neem oil isn't meant to be mixed with anything other then maybe a few drops of dish soap.

Stick to safers or products designed for your plants.

One week strong insecticide spray, next week neem oil

Also never use products that are systemic insecticide, like avid or floramite! You must be very knowledgeable about the half lives of the Chemichals or you will be growing poison instead of medicine! Azamax is the active ingredient in neem that has been isolated. Perfectly safe, buti t is still a harsh chemical and offers no other benefits to the plant or environment other then killing bugs. Stick with pure cold pressed neem and you will be rewarded!

i just checked the instructions on the einstein neem oil bottle and it states 1-2 tsp per liter and to spray lightly.
well i mixed 2tsp per liter and sprayed heavily.....soaked'em actually and then some.

after i sprayed them with the shampoo they looked great, 3 days later still no signs of mite life but thats when i sprayed again.....i guess it was excess neem use.

Holy cow! So yeah it's just WAY too much neem.

Boooo to einstiens oil!! It is way too overpriced and they tell you to practically pour it down the drain... Shit that would have been better as your plants would still be ok.... Oh well live and learn.

Well I say use only one tablespoon per gallon... Maybe that is why I have to do the whole every three days thing but this is how I understand it; the neem oil in low doses disrupts the mites reproductive cycle. An egg hatches within three days depending on temp and humidity. Thus if you spray every three days for and extended period all the mites will eventually become sterile and poof they never come back. If you add it in a stronger dose it has the ability to kill the mites outright but not the eggs and then your plants hang in the balance.

thanks for the help! at least now i know what the cause was/is. now i gotta wait it out.......i guess i can cancel the flush then.
an extra week of veg will get these gals waaay over the height that i want. the tallest is 30" and the shortest is 16" and those numbers where taken 3 days ago so already they're past that mark.....

Hahaha right on! So I was thinking, maybe washing them off with soapy water, like one teaspoon per gallon might help, it is oil..... Then again they are so stressed out already. The damage is probably done.... I'll talk to some people tomorrow as early as I can for you and see if anyone has dealt with it first hand.

Don't cancel flush, that will wash any salt built up.....the biggest. Pick u posted looks like too much. Nitrogen ....
