SPREADER'S ARE THEY THE GO !

Hey all , when i got a new reflector, this thing called a spreader came with it...........it is in a V shape & sits under the bulb, the idea being , it spreads light, & reduces temps, has any 1 tried these gadgets ??

i threw in a few of those . did not notice any difference . might as well put it in though its free

I used them on my first few grows several years ago before a long break. I had loverly plants and was very happy with my results but never used the same light without one so can't really compare. However, my lights were a lot closer than a friend with a similar grow, who was also very pleased with his results. I'd lean towards what Dr Who said overall, but it does cut out the hot spot ion the middle of the space, a good thing if you work for an even canopy.

All that being said, as i plan my almost new-ish short space for it's eventual second round (should be 2x250's plus cheapo leds) i don't think i'd bother with them - just tie and turn appropriately and save the cash for something actually useful.

I have used also, good for eliminating hotspots from the light but at expense of less lumens...

i am looking for a spreader for a de reflecter. The only one i can find is the super spreader for the adjust a wing. Anyone know of another or if it will work on other reflecters?

they should work on any light if you can figure out a way to attach it.

Thats what i am trying to figure out can they be atached withought modification. Dont want to go drilling holes in the lamp holder maby hit a wire or cause a short. Looking for someone with experience with them on another reflecter besides the adjust a wing
