Springtales in late flowering

So with the title obviously I have seen springtales in my soil. I'm week 4/5 into flowering. I'm in a organic soil (promix organic vegetable & herb) added perlite & coir. The plant isn't having any issues and who knows how long these little bastards have been around. I realize they aren't necessarily harmful however I don't want to take the chance.

Is there a natural way of killing these pests ?

Anyone suggest a way of mitigating this issue ???

Where'd these guys come from ? My soil is stamped with the signature seal approval with Omri. Picture included.

- I water 1.5 gallon @6.5ph as needed.
- 12/12 lighting
- Fox Farm nutes, " Tiger bloom currently "
- HLG lights @ 18"
- Sealed tent
- Promix organic vegetable & herb Soil
- 10g pots w/ drainage stone bottom
- 10% run off every water & feed

If any other info is required please don't hesitate to ask.

These guys are soil dude, start loving these because you cant kill them without killing everything else. They go away if you alter your watering cycles, its that easy :-)

Yeah I think I'm starting to feel the same. May I ask how you'd water in a different cycle ? Dry out longer or ?

The funny thing is my watering cycles are all over the place LOL " sometimes " :lol:

God i forget now but think they multiply if you water too often and die off as it gets drier.

The creature cannot survive far from moisture but they are harmless and generally beneficial.

I have these and gnats a lot of times just keep them to a minimun from good practice as you cant stop them in soil a lot of times.

A sign of good soil :-)

One other soil bug i have is pot worms. I did a hec of a lot of seedlings and whilst uprooting many i didnt want i noticed tiny worms (smaller than gnat larvae) moving on my roots - just one or two but ive seen these guys enought times now to know that most of us soil growers will also have a fair amount of these as well as springtails.

The reason you cant kill them is because the stuff needed also kills a lot of beneficial stuff like fungi and stuff although i havent read what for a while now but think this is pretty accurate.

They vector disease and such but also beneficial fungi and bacteria for the roots. I know they will eat root but really root grows far too fast to ever notice or be stressed.

The whole soil web indoors is still pretty full of life and bugs just as is yoyu tapwater - sterelised and omri and human consumable dont actually mean devoid of all life.

I learnt to love this stuff and culture my soil to keep them in control, simply tilling my soil keeps my gnats down, watering correctly keeps my dpringtails down and god knows wtf pot worms like or dont but i mainly ignore them.

Im not sure there should be anything else visable with the naked eye, few different fly species maybe but that should cover most except thrips - those guys are a seperate subject of pain and ninja stealth.

Actually find i get less bugs from marijuana specific stuff but thats down to storage as my shop bought soil has bugs and spiders and stuff everywhere and my hydro shop dosent and is soick and span.

Lifes to short ill love em all except thrips :-)
