Sprout popped out real strong now seems to have stalled

This auto seed sprouted June 12. June 15 it wat 3 inch and tap root was showing. June 17 Planted it in about five gal of O.F. .....thought it was going to take off but it has been a slow crawl it seams.. June 25 and we're looking like this latest photo. I've given it only 6.0 water never kept to wet. Any advice or ideas or am I expecting to much. New to the autos. Here's a pic of the light I got it under too was doing 24/7 but last few days went to 18/6 even been bringing it outside for longer periods

I’m my experience autos start really slow as seedlings. I’d bury the stem a bit more and get humidity up. Also you’re in soil a ph of 6 is a little low up it to 6.5

Having 5 gallons of media to root into it's probably busy establishing it's roots. What you can't see is what's going on under the soil. Keep watering the entire media and then letting it dry out until the pot feels light. As mentioned above I'd shoot for a little higher ph as well
I bounce in the 6.2-6.5 range just to have some flux. Ocean Forrest is also a tad hot for seedlings, not really bad but very nutrient packed so you don't need to feed for a while.

When should I put it outside full time

You need to start in small pots, and then up pot as they get bigger... this "stall" stage is them building roots. As they feel thier way around, they will have more top growth as the root system builds.. but, yeah... you up potted too big.

I'm not much of an outside guy but I'd at least wait until it had enough nodes to support itself against the wind and rigors of outdoors. It depends on the temps too as far as where you live. They're pretty hardy but you don't want to stress them with frost if you live somewhere it's cold right now. I put mine out last year at 12" and you have to harden them off slowly. You should research hardening off plants before taking them outdoors if you're not really familiar with it. Not sure how experienced you are with growing. Once the roots get fully established it should get going like DoubleAtotheRON said. I usually start my autos in Solo cups and transplant around 2 weeks and there fine just so you know they can be transplanted without a problem.

Personally I try to plant in the final pot from the beginning. I'm in organic soil though so that might make a difference. But I prefer less transplanting. I'm lazy. But I've also noticed the plants like it more too.

I agree that when you transplant they won't look like they're growing as fast until their roots figure out how much space they have to work with. Then they take of:

Im pretty lazy too... I'll only up pot once. I start in 5.5 inch square pots with the clones, and they can get up to 15-18 inches high in those in about 3 weeks, then I'll transplant into (now) 10 gallon final pots. Im in soil tho... I'm not all tree hugging' organic like some....

Ya. I started really mild, to appease the more sensitive,

I spent $10 on this book, so it can't just sit here unused. That's insensitive to the book.

Right!.. I may scroll thought it during a text conversation for reference. It's like a rolodex of fuckery.

I find that they grow much faster when started in smaller containers.

That makes sense never did the autos but was trying this one and read that they don't do well with transplant and should be sprouted in or transplant to there big pot

Stoner myth.........even Mephisto, who only sell autos, recommend starting in small pots and transplanting.

I'll will definitely look into hardenimg them thanks for the tip. Not very experienced iv grown some plants before but never with as much purpose and interest. I'm in WNY so weather is pretty good right now but I've only been bringing her out for a few hrs a day, little more everyday, was maybe thinking my lights weren't giving it enough???idk. But from what I'm reading seems like I kinda jumped the gun on getting in the big pot.

You're fine, it's just going to take a little time before the plant up top catches up to the roots underneath. Just be sure to water the entire pot so that the roots can spread throughout the entire soil area. Once the roots get established enough the plant will really take off. You should have a well developed root system to support it for the rest of the cycle. It's fine to go out in NY this time of year once it's big enough to handle the wind and had some gradually built up direct sun exposure. It took me a week to harden mine off. I started in a shady spot and then gradually gave them a couple hours of indirect sun a day, then direct sun a couple hours a day until they were getting the full strength sun all day. Just watch the first couple days the most, they're the most sensitive and most likely to burn. Good luck with your auto, hope it produces some nice buds for you.
