Hello, im interested in growing one autoflower plant and have only figured out i want to plant a Northern Light flower from Royal Queen seeds and use a HomeBox Evolution Q30 tent

I was wondering if anyone would be so kind and help me put together the rest?
  • What sort of lighting would be best suited for that space? im thinking about a 50W UFO LED, but not sure if its overkill?

  • What vent would be nice?

  • What carbon filter would be nice, or is a DIY filter better for this particular tent?

  • What pot size should i use to maximize yield?

  • What soil should i use as a beginner?

  • Can I just use water from seed to flower, or do I actually need nutrients? If I need nutrients, can you tell me which ones are absolutely necessary?
Like i said, i am only planning on having one plant, so I don’t want any overkill accessories for the tent, but something that “scales” well with a single plant.

I live in central europe, so shops that are within the EU are appreciated, so i dont have to deal with import charges :)

Any help is appreciated.

ok ....your tent is very very very small if i am doing the convertion right
1x1x2.6 ft
that is very very very small..............the light is going to hang off the top lose 6 inches the planter with the dirt will be 10 to 12 inches tall this leaves u 1 foot of room to grow into (and u need to take 4 inches off that for open space for the light to have open area )

u really should get something larger (i know u did not account for those numbers i did the same thing myself with a grow box)

this is a generic LED i use one like this for my autos it will do u great in the tent

venting for this u can use a simple 4 inch fan

basically all u need is there ........just take a flap off the side of the tent it will make negative air pressure keeping the smell in the tent until door is open )

planter sizes ......i use fabric pot (soil bags/smart bag/smart planter/grow bags)
120 grams and under plant can go in 3 gallon bags
121 gram and over should go into a 7 gallon bags

as for the soil your in a different market for then USA but good soils

those are feeding soils to get the best out of your plant ..........u are new and starting here is a organic kit ( all in one buy)

full feed line will do several plants for u .........u should order pipettes to use to mix the feed up 1 ml and 3 ml i got 500 count of each still using them 2 years later

u need to feed the plant unless u are using super soil ( super soil is something mixed up with everything the plant is going to need for whole life but u have to make your own or order some from ideal420soil.com)
just type in super soil and u will find it on the here how to mix up Subcool's super soil


this set up will make u one great plant .........sorry it was not as cheap as u wanted but u forgot to account for those factors if u do not upgrade the best u are looking at is 1 plant giving u maybe 14 grams in 78 days ..........this set up should get u 4 to 8 oz per plant ( first time 2 oz or so once u learn to feed it and read the plant/strain the amounts increase)

Thanks alot, your post is very informative :)

That tent you suggested is too big for where i intended to have it running, so maybe i should rethink this whole thing :)

that strain gets 3 ft tall if not trained i just harvested 12 of them.

i did not know they made tents that small

that was the smallest i ever seen ....ohhh a mother tent might work for him .....that is small in height

yep, insanely small would not have believed they made them that small. Pointlessly small. Double sided tape, mylar, and a kitchen cabinet would be a better option, lol.
