starting seeds hydroponicly

so i usually soak my seeds in water befor planting them but i have read that growing using hydroponics can be alot faster and better so i soaked a seed and left it in the water till it split and a root started to grow out. now its still growing and i have it still in water its only been 3 days but i was just posting this to find out more about growing hydroponicly and stuff do ppl usually start the seeds in water or in the paper towel way for this growing method?

i dont currently have pics of this yet i will be taking some though for anyone to see to give me hints and tips also. thanks

When you say you still have it in water do you mean you have it "in" water? You don't think you grow by putting seeds "in" water do you? You need a hydroponic system. If you don't know what that means you need to do some reading in the FAQs at the top of each page before drowning anymore seeds.

well i dont have it totally submerged in water anymore now that one of them has a root another one has a root too i forgot to chech that one today but 2 of them r acually growing roots i am going to take a few pics of them today if they come out clear ill post them my cam isnt that good. since its working though im going to keep them growing how they r to see how they turn out

I germinated the seeds in water separately. Then I planted them in rockwool cubes and placed them in my Aeroponics setup. I just watered the rockwool with non nutes/low nute water till I thought they were big enough for the setup to water them with the pump.
Worked great and you can check out my growjournal to see how my girl is doing.

i just like performed surgery on my little seedling and moved it to i little setup thing ha i hope it works though i posted somepics
