Stealth Grow Cab v2.0

Hey yall this is my second go at producing some buds with cfls. Some might remember me with the cabinet i had before and the journal i had going, many thanks goes out to those who checkd that out and added helpful tips and info. So here we go
Currently on week 5 of flowering. Big difference from last grow, i'll add pics later on of the differences as well the new light setup and the 3 plants. To report my last grow i only had about 10 grams off 1 plant, that grow was surely a learning experience, as i added too much nuts and eneded up with buds that wouldn't burn properly.

3 plants, auroura indica, using a 25% vermiculite and 75% organic soil, i have noticed better drainage with the 25% vermiculite at the bottom of the pots. 6 26 watt cfls in the overhead lighting and 4 26 watt clfs for lower lighting, giving me about 260 watts for growing. Chems include mg all purpose 20-8-16 for veg and 5-30-5 for flower.

Ok pics as promised now we will compare the plants from 1st round and 2nd round, different conditions same sched of light, about 80 more watts.

And then we will compare the stealth cabinet last time and now
4 old and next are new cabinet.

first 4 are old cab setup and the rest are new setup.

As u can see the new light setup which is a hanging enclosed light setup with 6 cfls inside and 4 cfls for side lighting, 2 fans to cool the lights being re directed outside the box, with mylar reflector inside, sealed with Plexiglas, this really controls heat inside this small box, and being in the closet it is limited to cool fresh air, temps are way down and average 83-85 while doors are closed, with 10 clfs, heat and placement of the lights are very important in growing with these type of bulbs.

Very nice plants. Did you go 12/12 from seed or what?

i went 18/6 for about 3 weeks, these girls are turning great so far way better than my first grow. And pretty much off 8-10 26 watt cfls.

Looks good man. That style is similar to mine right now. The result is smaller plants, but if you have more than one you are all good. It is a wee bit easier to maintain too.

yes i had to keep the grow small in height, and with some LST and better placement of some clf bulbs everything has been coming along great, very easy to maintain and heat is really no longer an issue.
Plants are on week 6, i wonder how long the buds will continue to swell for any ideas?

Does lighting the plants through the plastic sheet affect the process at all? Do the plants get all the light they need?

the plexiglass does not seem to be withholding any light, i could be wrong but major difference from my last setup, with the aluminum tape it reflects the light and most importantly keeps my temps down, with 10 clfs prior the heat could easily exceed 95 degrees in such a small area. With the top lighting concealed, the lower lights don't really produce as much heat, maybe 82 if it's closed up for about 6-8 hours?

lets start tonight off with one of those! week 7, buds are starting to take form and swell, hairs are about 10% reddish orangey. One thing to note is what looks to be some ball like features on a male plant except white and reddish hairs coming out of them. Anyone notice this ever before is this normal? hoping its not a hermi or its fucking with me. Getting stinky but the downy sheets and filters are doing a great job so far. I have a few questions of my own though, what is your watt/sq.ft. ratio? Also what is your lumen/sq.ft ratio ?

Hey Uber thank you for the kind words! I agree with you this fourm is one of the best there is, lots of helpful people around who love to spread information about this wonderful plant! im not too sure how to calculate watt per Sq ft, but i do know i have about 260 watt's total with each bulb putting out 1750 lumens. So far everything seems great and this being my 2nd grow i have learned so much from the first batch. Nutes i use are mg all purpose 24,8,16 for veg and schultz bloom builder 5-30-5 very excited to see the outcome!

Man if your bud wouldnt burn properly, thats because you didnt flush your plant before you harvested it. The problem isnt that you used too much nutes, its that you didnt flush the nuted out before harvesting.

well i know i over nuted it which could of lead to the problems and i flushed 3 times in a 3 week span if you check my previous thread, i gave too much nitrogen in flowering which fucked things rite up. No big deal everything is looking good new pics soon.
