Stealth Hydro-WARNING

I bought a 24 net pot bubbleponics system from stealthhydro.com. The system isn't very good. It theoretically can be used to flower plants but the net pot sizes are very small. However I've seen huge plants come out of small openings before and this is my first grow to be fair. But I had some experienced grower come in and tell me I'm going to be limited on the number of plants I can realistically grow with it even though there are 24 net pots. I doubt it will be able to flower huge plants but I and he could be wrong. The net pots are really small and The roots grow through the net pot bottoms and sides so to transplant them means having to cut the net pots apart to keep from harming the roots. Also there's no circulation in the system so water flows to each bucket to a dead end. I did quite a bit of drilling and modifying to create circulation between pots. Without that the PH is almost impossible to control. I regret buying it and it wasn't cheap either. Customer service is quite nice however and they seem to want to help quite a bit. At least it taught me a lot on my first grow attempt. I'll make my own system next time with bigger pipes and full circulation. Stealth Hydro sells other products though that aren't bad but this one I feel can only be used for vegging clones and seeds to the flowering point. Good Luck.

DIY is almost always the best way to go. Just about any type of hydro system can be built by just about anyone for very little $$. What's even better is you can customize your system and tailor it specifically to meet your needs. I'm sorry to hear you got screwed but since you're pretty much out the money anyway you might as well try to make it work. Best of luck. :weed:

If you read the instructions it came with, it clearly says "This system was not designed to row six 6-foot tall Christmas Trees. (Although we have grown 3 plants, 3, 4 and 5 feet tall in one tank.) We have heard a few growers tell us "I just realized that the 6 plants are going to get very crowded after they get 3 or 4 feet tall". This system was not designed for 6 giant plants."

Hey thanks for spamming 16 separate threads, including my journal with the same BS post, asshole.

i agree, it's rather pathetic. from everything i've read around the forums on DWC etc it all states don't buy their gear as it's nothing but average parts with a huge markup and that building your own is the way to go

Dude,
You could have just asked me to remove it from your journal but your attitude changed my mind. I was warning those who were thinking of purchasing the system what kind of limitations I faced and didn't intend to unfairly report on something I had bad luck with. Personal attacks are against the rules and I'm reporting you for this. What they do about it is their business. I was trying to help and this reply you gave me did not help anyone. Normally I'd ask for forgiveness but since your reply advocated a selfish motive I'm leaving my review as is. Please keep personal attacks out of the forum.

can i ask what your big issue is about the smaller net pots and the roots growing out of the bottom and sides. the roots are meant to grow outta the bottom and sides, unless you're talking pots like 1cm across or something silly then i don't really see them being too small. and yes, it's a 24 plant system, it's designed for small plants, SOG's and such, not for growing out 24 monsters, that would be counter to everything common sense would shout. the same reason you can't put 24 seeds in beer cups in a small closet and expect 3 ounce monsters
