Steel Storage Cabinet grow box

Hey Folks
So I got my hands on a steel storage cabinet. I am going to mod this to grow killer weed hopefully.

I was thinking of insulating the inside with styrofoam sheets to cut down on sound? The fixed shelf in the middle maybe troublesome.

Dimensions of the entire unit are:
72"(H) x 36"(W) x 18"(D)

39" from the fixed shelf to bottom
18" depth
36" wide.

I was wanting to use a 400w hps, floro for veg.

Any suggestions on how to build this sucker?

What strain are you plannin on using?

Sorry my original post was pretty all over the place. I was excited to just have the cabinet.

So today I ripped out the middle shelf. I have also found some industrial grade styrofoam that I was going to shape to the interior (with non-crinkled mylar). The bottom of the cabinet has a few holes so il have to seal that up and maybe raise it a little bit.

I am buying a 250w/400w hps lumatek with a cooltube. 6" typhoon inline fan and im still trying to figure out carbon filter.

Originally I was thinking Lowryder #2. I think i've changed my mind and am going to go with C99.


Id like it to be somewhat stealth.

Also originally this was going to be seed, veg, flower type cabinet but I think id like to maybe have a spot for a mother, clone, flower.


I am just trying to figure out how to vent this cabinet. Also I am wondering if I need to put my fan on the outside or if I could fit it inside with a carbon filter.

I am pretty excited and have a long way to go

Edit: MEDIUM. I was thinking something along the lines of: Pro mix HP, worm casting, perlite and hand watering as non-mechanical hydro?
