just got most of my shit to get this flowering room together today. spent a pretty penny. i am ganna section off a 8x5x8 area for the flowering room with black/white poly plastic. But heres what I picked up today.

2 ultra cool XL sealed reflectors 6 inch flange
2 600 w hps pulsar sunleaves ballasts
2 hortilux hps bulbs
270 cfm can fan
*****Ebb & Grow hydroponics system*****
more botanicare nutes
15 feet of double insulated ducting
some more rockwool, hydroton, etc.

began setting up everything tonight and I am about to pee my pants. Ebb & Gro is a little confusing to set up but its coming along. the quality of the parts in this system and just the specialtyness of it make it worth the money. could have built one for cheaper but for everything it comes with it was def worth it. Got my reflectors all put together and sealed ready for hanging. just gotta get the area sectioned off and a 2x4 running the length attached to studs in the roof to hang the lights on. pics will soon be coming

Your right. I say, you go cheap, you grow cheap. this shit aint to expensive, just sucks putting the money up front. but hopefully my investment will make some return. looks like it might come together.

I've never used an ebb and flow system, but if you need any growing advice feel free to ask me. I'll try my best to help.

Nice, I just got the 50 gal drum with 28 sites. I will be adding a drum and more pots before that room gets a go. I got it all set up, I am like a kid in a candy store. hahahaha. The only thing I have ran across is the left over water in the bottom of the bucket and in lines. I just figured its now part of my maintenance. I cant wait to get it all going. The babies are going now. Gl with yours.. Nice choice...

i think i read in the ebb and gro destruction sheet that if you raise your pots 1 inch up off the ground it drains that one inch of standing water in the pot back to the controller.

Lol yeah got all my goodies yesterday for my first grow. Its christmas in october. hahaha. hopefully i can have the room pretty much set up tonight and ready to roll. oh yeah im using feminised white widows

How does it get to the drain hole. My feeding tubes come in the side of the bucket like an inch to an inch and a half from the bottom. So the water sitting lower than the drain sits. I am gonna give it a shot. Thx. I love WW

yeah i guess ur right about that i dunno i just have a little bit sittin in the bottom of my pots. but if i raise them up by hand just for a few seconds the drain kicks on. but i got my plants out of the veg box got everything set up except the front wall. im just ganna get a 2x4 and run the width of the ceiling and then have some poly attached that i can roll up. saine youve been using this system a while. how do you drain and fill your res. i know u can use a pump but thats a little to far away. any ideas. heres some pics of some of the home improvements.

The same way I feed. I just disconnect my first feeding line, add a longer one leading to where I wanna drain. Then to fill do the same. Hey how do you have the cooling of your hoods working? I noticed you had one side duct and one side open. Will you eventually have both duct bringing in cooler air and one bringing out the heat from the lights out the room? Maybe I missed something I am a lot high right now. LOL. Nice set up Dawg!!

Yeah i know what ur talking about. right now i just have my can fan sitting on the floor off the plastic keepin the lamps cool. the whole room has a/c so it rarely gets above 80 in that room. im thinking about just keeping that one side of the hood open and just use that as my exhaust too. cause its sucking a buttload of air through those lights. they stay so cool i can touch the glass. i might enclose off the front of it but i kinda like it being open cause then a/c vent blows right into the area. the leaves are being moved around a bunch from the ceiling fan and an oscillating fan i have blowing on them. plus that room is so dark when the door is closed. even when its dark and u open the door and the hallways lights are on it wouldnt disturb them. any ideas?

I have an idea for you to get more buds and bigger buds /Run a peice of white plastic across your open wall to make a brighter room for your plants aslo you can run netting across your walls for your plants to rest on witch in return can double your bud size:mrgreen:

you can simply staple the plastic to one side of the wall then you use tacs for the side you are going to use to get in the grow area /scrog set up yes i guess you could say that when you place neting across your plants it makes the plants use all space by making them spread out instead of just growing straight up and wasting empty spaces

yeah i'll throw the flap up when i flower. im ganna veg for a few more days let the roots take hold in their new home and grow probly 5 more inches. then im ganna flower them. im not ganna do a scrog this time. its my first time and i just wanna let em branch out and do their thing. i topped 2 of them so they will have 2 nice big colas. but they are starting to look really good under the new lights
