Hello all, just a quick couple of questions...
I've noticed that 9/10ths of all hydroponic kits online are made with sterilite containers, only a few are made from either heavy duty buckets or some uniform white/black plastic which seems to be made for growing. I guess what I'm asking is that if I was to use a 400w HPS/MH light, would I expect any sort of UV degradation later on down the road? Are the generic sterilite containers built tough enough to withstand the heat? Will they melt without proper light cooling or if the lights are too close (which they shouldn't be in the first place otherwise the plants themselves would be the first to suffer) Also, would the risk of melting/uv degradation become greater if more powerful lights were used (600/800/1000w)
Thanks for any help.
