Stigma vs Pistils

A dumb question??
Are Pistils... and Stigmas the same thing.

I think I figured it out, stigmas are the white hairs and they grow from the pistil...
I have a pretty good book, but a in a few places it gets a little bit confusing.

They're the same thing. Most refer to as pistils

Well according to that image the white lady part is the pistil and the stigmas are the 'hairs' that brown around the bud
