hey there folks. im worried about the smell of my plants i am growing in a shed under 2 600 hps lamps with an extractor and carbon filter the room is 8x5x6 apex roof aswell
it is sealed with white poly mylar will be fully lined and duct taped when i have the plants in flower(lack of funds) im thinking if i sealed it 100% and im extracting il need some form of co2 enrichment or could i just have a hole letting air in will the vacuum affect keep the smell out or am i just fighting a losing battle?

thanks man i was thinking of 2 birds 1 stone type scenario home brew and it makes co2
also imagine making thc drops and adding it to that home brew
shame they wont be ready untill end of jan no white christmas for me >=(

theres herbs you can grow around the shed too to help mask the smell. just put up some no tresspassing signs and yell at anyone that goes in your yard. be more worried about light leakage imo

the shed is completely air tight as for tresspassers it has a massive fence all around and the garden is only about 20 foot by 30 and the shed is surrounded by trees as for the herbs thanks for the idean but i have nowhere to plant them because of the trees and also they wont be ready for when my plants are or can you buy them allready ready i was thinking of rosemary or some other type mint any ideas?

I'm in the same boat, 1 week from flowering and no smell to speak of yet. I am doing the same thing, sealed with duct tape and a carbon filter hooked to an 6" fan. I have 20 going so I figure if it get's stinky outside, I'll have to pull some of them. So hears to carbon filters working well.

Oh, and you need darkness to brew beer.

make some form of chimney /extractor fan,and have some fome of air intake, then the hot and smelly air should be extracted,.

yeh i was thinking of having a sock soaked in water then over a tube so air flows in naturaly will that retard the smell?
i allready have a carbon filter and extractor

you just have your filter and fan extracting 24/7 that will cause a low pressure in the room so you have a pipe or hole to draw fresh air in,so there will be no smell.

you don't want a vacuum - you want a constant supply of fresh air. the carbon filter should take care of any odors (provided it - and the exhaust fan - is the right size for the room).

Odour is compounded by humidity. By yourself a dehumidifier and let that run, it'll take out a lot of the odour. Give up da rep yo!

yea moxtox kinda hit it on the head.

you have to keep room/area temp below 55% give or take.

around 60-70 % RH, the charcoal starts to absorb moisture and clogs.

around 80% it stops cleaning/removing odors.

if i were you, i'd look into ozone generators or ion generators......

or like dude said, if you can contain that humidity you might be in business!!!
