stinky/ skunky plants during vegetation related to potency during harvesting?

I have multiple plants going and each obviously smell differently but two have significant skunk smell and the others are sweet/skunk. (Not sure on exact strains but pretty sure they are all indica) Even touching a leaf makes your fingers stink... Is this at all directly related to how potent/ skunky the plants will be when they are ready? I know males can also be skunky in these stages too, but I'm refering to only females. The two plants I'm talking about have been skunky since week 3.

it gives it better taste but no i wouldnt say smell means everything. thc is everything, mix a little cbd in for good measure.

how do i mix in cbd lol or is that a figure of speech? I know smell doesn't mean everything but lets face it, getting a sack of beasters or mids, smell nothing as pungent and potent as its superiors...
