Hey I'm 26 years old and Ive always had problems with my stomach. Frequent heartburn, throwing up acid in the mornings, and feelin nauseous were the norm. I recently was injured very bad and had to take painkillers for several weeks. This cause stomach ulcers that had previously healed to come back. Now I've got all these problems. I can't seem to eat anything but white rice, chicken broth, or an apple without feeling very ill and needing to use the restroom immediately afterwards. I've tried to go on a plain ulcer diet and am currently eating very light. But nothing about the symptoms of my nausea and after meal ritual is getting better now. I've had to wait longer and longer afger I wake up each day to eat. Now it's to where I won't eat untill I should be laying back down for bed. Just looking to discuss things with people who've had similar problems and what worked for them. No rudeness or trolling please. I would like some healthy conversation. Thanks!

I only just had food poisoning for a few days and that was bad enough. You poor thing. I did buy something from the pharmacy which helped. It had pepto and bicarbonate in it.

I think your condition is on-going and more serious. The Dr should be able to advise you. Some people produce more acid than others. Try to eat bananas as they go down easy. I was sick of dry toast and bits of cereal. Good luck! :)

Thank you Yea gets old. All I want are some dam buffalo wings. Maybe one day. I drink pepto often. But try not to as it trains the stomach wrong, similar to antacids and really any stomach meds. I take Prilosec two tabs every morning after I've eaten so my stomach acid doesn't just burn them up. But now my stomach has become reliant on that dose. I hate prescription drugs. And if it weren't for pot I would probably be wanting to die. Only thing that soothes it. But then again it's the only thing that makes the constant urge for buffalo wings present :p. I'm waiting on this affordable health care shit to kick in and gonna see some doc. But I feel like I can't wait that long. Only a week away but hard to live with the current level it's at now.

Sorry for ur constant stomach problem...i have to take omeprozole...prilosec...same as u.Its not a pprescription med. Its over the counter. But if i dont take it i eventually throw up blood from ulcers. ...its sucks but no doctor has given me an alternative....keep the stress low in ur life...cause stress makes it worse. ...and one or two hot wings wont kill u...or will it?

Yea I just started throwing up blood the past day or two. It's been since my accident last time it happened. Blood out both ends then. I Try not to worry myseld but can't help but hope there nothing seriou. I hate going to the doctor or hospital or anywher like that now cause it brings back the memories that are not cognitive. And I get dizzy and anxiety and so ancy sometimes just don't go to my appointments. The brain is a funny thing. And trying to conquer simple mental tasks becomes difficult after a brain injury. This along with pain makes it hard to get up and cook healthy meals every day like I should. It takes a lot of work and will power to heal the stomach and I don't know if I have it lol

And no one or two hot wings won't kill me bit it's enoigh to feel like shit for a day or two. But I can't just eat one or two. I don't know anyone with will power like that. Thank god for weed I tell you. It's better than Prilosec as an instant fix but Prilosec is needed for long term. If you take two tabs instead of one its like the same thing they prescribe you for 300 bucks a month

I'm assuming you had the whole range of tests done? I know a friend that was plagued with various stomach problems, diagnosed with IBS and it turned out to be problems with his pancreas. I myself will have wicked heartburn/reflux in the morning if I ate a meal the night before that was high in beef fat. Cereal (milk) before bed sometimes gives me that feeling as well. Do you drink booze?

Yea I've been to the er two times over the last year since my accident for stomach pains. Tested for h. Palori bacteria and came back negative. I've had X-rays cat scan and mri done cause of accident so I'm sure they would've notixes something wrong. But I try to only eat simple plain foods before bedtime. Ilusually an apple. But it's not getting better. I don't drink I could barely handle one beer a year ago.

Having diverticulitis and not being insured until a week or so back after a long lapse in health insurance ive found benzos help with a lot of my problems even though they arent indicative for the problems. Hiatal hernia pain, ibs, tinnitus,. But getting a doctor thats willng to prescribe a long term script of any benzo is a task. Me and my last doc went round and round over the subject so finally I fired his incompetent ass and sourced my own meds. Cost me about 4 bills a month for a medicinal dosage but at least I get relief without some whiney bitch with an md. His alternative was effexor which I cannot tolerate but he was willing to give me all those I wanted.
Still habit forming as any benzo and a nasty drug. Fuck doctors, they have an agenda which conflicts with their oath. They dont want you healthy they want you dead. Cut population in half is on their agenda.

First post had Acid Reflux written all over it. Other posts more serious. Try sleeping with UR head a couple of inches higher than UR feet, if not already, may help.

After major dental surgery I was put on painkillers. .I took them as directed. .a month later I'm in agony. .stomach hard and puffed out...constantly need to swallow or I feel like throwing up...ya doctor told me the pills were way to strong for my size...end result border line ulcer...she's Indian so she first called my dentist and bitched him out..next she tossed my pills and said liquid for 1 week..and gave me a prescription for 20.mg sodium tablets...she also recommend I take 1 teaspoon of cider vinegar when the burning starts...I was like wtf...she explained the acid on acid nutralizez and settles ur stomach...another trick is laying on ur left side when u sleep..
so far I'm up ok...if I eat late or to much I pay...but the pills and left side laying help big time.
make sure u drink lots of water...juice..pop..is asking for trouble. .I'm also drink the thickest milk possible daily...but if ur stomach is hurt it can take a yr or so to recover. .P's apples contain lots of fibre and acid...not the best snack before bed ...fruit is a trigger for acid reflux..

I have many of the similar issues you have, i have crohns. I've found nothing, NOTHING works like a proper diet..which pretty much means i don't get the spicy, heavily seasoned foods i really like , except for rare occasions. I also cut out all pre processed/canned/boxed foods as much as possible. It took me about a yr and a half to realize just how important that was in curtailing my issues. I've been pretty much symptom free for a yr plus right now, but like you said, it's not always easy to do,especially when your ailments are heavily affecting you.

Drink water when you have stomach issues, it will dilute your stomach acids. Be careful with milk, it will initially sooth your stomach, but because it is fat based( milk is mainly fat and sweat..yum!), it will actually cause your system to increase acid production.

It sounds like your problems are mainly in the morning, if I'm understanding correctly? What/when do you last eat at night? I've found if i eat certain things after a certain point at night I'm waking up early with extremely painful gas/indigestion early in the AM.

I'm pretty much convinced the majority of digestive problems, at least in the USA, are directly related to the crap that is passed off as food to us.
