Stop Trichomes from turning amber

Hello. I waited a little too long to start my final flush and some trichomes are already amber. I'd still like to flush for a week as recommended, but I'd really like to stop the deterioration of THC, i.e. trichomes turning amber. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?
I'm wondering if changing the light cycle back to 18/6 would put it in veg state and stop it, or maybe not giving it any light at all.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Show some pics of your plants. I doubt they are even ripe especially if you’re talking about flushing as “recommended”

recommended by who? Lol.

I'm seeing consistently across most web sites that it is recommended to flush for at least 7 days.
I've uploaded a couple of images.
Thanks.

Ha! Really? I'm pretty new to this. I really don't care how it tastes, I'm not smoking it for that. So maybe that makes sense.
It's Girl Scout Cookies and Sour Diesel.
Thanks!

I don’t flush anymore. Now I just chop at the base and hang them upside down. I slow dry them at 68-70 degrees Fahrenheit with RH around 55 with good air exchange (no fan on the plants) and trim after they’ve dried ( about 2 weeks).

after a few weeks of curing, I get a smoother and tastier bud than when I flushed.

mu experience, fwtw.

Thank you @CunningCanuk.
Looks like I'm going to do the same.

Your plants look good. I wouldn’t worry about a few amber trichomes. Do you have any pics of the trichomes magnified? Are the amber trichomes on the leaves or the flower?
Unfortunately I don't have pics of the trichomes. Is there a camera or an attachment that you would recommend? I'm just using a jeweler's loop. The amber ones I've noticed are on the flowers, not too many and more on the SD than GSC.

There are a lot of 1000x electronic microscopes with phone apps to view and take pictures for about $50. A jewellers loupe works too but at 60x you obviously can’t get as close a look.
