stopping the winter die off

is there any way to stop a plant dieing off though winter.
i live in oz and the it dosnt drop much past 5 degrees in the midle of a cold winter night.
dose it have any thing to do with the length of the day?

i have a small clone and want a monster trees by the end on next season

force them back int to the veg state by giving them longer days if there in side if outside sorry bud you screwed

You could try to cover it with dry leaves, then cover it with a garbage bag. Seeing as cannabis an anual plant, it normally dies at the end of the season and cannot be wintered off like blueberries.
