Storing Weed?

I just bought a quarter of regs last weekend, and my tolerance has built up pretty high so I'm taking a month off. I just have a question, right now the weed's just in a ziplock bag, but will that do for a month of storage? I don't want mold to get in there, and I've never really had a bag more than a week, so I don't know how to properly store it.

How do you store your weed to keep it nice and fresh?

Most importantly, open the bag from time to time to replace the air. Once every couple of days would be more than fine.

Ok, it's not that moist so I'm not expecting any mold. This month thing is killing me though man. It's going to be two weeks since the last time I smoked tomorro, maybe that's enough time.....lol

I've done this before, and I've got to say, the next time you smoke even after taking two weeks off, it's like your first time all over again. I love it. lol

I have a 1/2 oz that I'm keeping in a glass jar. Every other day I open it up to let it breath for 2 or 3 minutes. I keep the jar in the coolest closet of the house in complete darkness too. I'm pretty anal about protecting my green.

That smaller the glass jar, the better. Packing it in a bit into a smaller container is better than leaving lots of air-space in a larger container. If it doesn't need to lose any moisture, leave it sealed and in a cool dark place. :peace:

Air, light, and moisture. These degrade THC.

wow.. why are you guys opening the containers up and "letting it breathe" ? there is absolutely no need to do that.No offense.

I had stashed some in a baggie and forgot where I put it. About two years later I found it and it was fine.

Dryness doesn't degrade THC. It'd be harsh, that's about it. Definitely shouldn't have lost potency if stored right.

Two Years? Sorry I call BS

Maybe a couple months
Yea I agree, two years in a baggie and the weed would be so dry it'd crumble to dust when you tried to break it up:shock: Then you'd smoke it and get a headache...
LOL...I never said it was moist and fresh. It was dry as chalk and not as harsh as I though it would be but still a bit nasty. It still did the job though.
