Strange happenings with first grow

Hi guys

I apologise in advance for lack of pictures, it might be quite hard to see what im talking about.

Basically this summer I got a blim with some seeds in, which I chucked into a pot outside, and didnt really think about after that. Suprisingly, one managed to sprout, and even more suprisingly, eventually turned out to be female.

Obviously I started to take a bit more care of it, but it wasnt 'prolific' as it were, there were a few big buds, but not a huge amount.

By this time its november, and worrying about weather (plus not enough light), i brought it inside to put under a lamp on 12/12. Unfortunately, i left it on the wrong setting, meaning that for 2 days, it was on full light the whole time. even after that, i still mucked up, and the light was coming on for 2 hours in the middle of each night.

Without knowing for sure, i believe it regressed a stage, and a whole new set of pistols/buds have started forming, in some cases firing out of the old buds. its hard to describe without pics, but it looks like its mutating! originally, when outside, it didnt form many pistols, now i have what looks like little heads of hair growing all over the place.

i have all sorts of questions about it - will letting the new crop bud ruin what was already there? should i keep it on 12/12 while this is happening (ie does it not need more light for these new buds to properly grow?)? Is it feasible that i will get all of it to a smokable phase?

Sorry about the essay, any help (especially if youve had a similar problem and actually know what im talking about!) would be much appreciated.

^This is the old, almost mature bud

^These are the new buds/pistols, mainly firing out at the bottom

^ This is an example of the new pistols firing out the older, established buds
