strange plant pots

Get on all, ive been trawling the net for theese strange pots ive heard about, i have no pics so ill try to explain the theory and design, They are almost gimp mask looking with numerous holes in them taht each have a nipple like teet sticking out, theese teets are NOT light proof and therefore as root tips grow into them, the tips die off and quaterize causing the roots to feather backwards from point of quaterization, filling the substrate (soil in this case) evenly and preventing the plant getting root bound, has anyone used or seen theese pots, if so could you tell me what there called and/or who makes them cheeeeeeeers

Sounds like "Smart Pots" to me, but there is no Teet's on them. But its works exactly like you say with the roots.... check it out: http://www.smartpots.com/

yep indeedy, i have heard really good things about theese pots for both time reduction (for veging clones) and yeild increase, i have 6 on order to my local hydro store and may run a standard pot versus gimp mask type to see the difference, cheeeeeeeers

learn somethin new every day guess ill b lookin into those pots too

just read about the smart pots and checked my local hydro store they added them to theyre stock oct. 2009 have a variety of sizes it all sounds good but who knows u know how advertising is gonna get a few of em and do a side by side test cant hurt 3.29 a pot so i lose 10 bucks if they rnt better than the pots i use now

Exactly what i thought, for not much more than standard pot its got to be worth a try i rekon, if you do a side by side let me know, it would be good to get two sets of results cheeeeeers

i use the air pots and so does my friend and they work great, if you have a dishwasher you can wash them when your done
