Long story short, between selling old fishing gear and some luck at the poker table, I've managed to upgrade my setup.
I have ordered a tent that is approx. 4x6 and 8 feet tall. It was designed for use with a Gavita DE 1000W. Instead of the Gavita, however, I ordered the Sun System AC/DE Fusion (air cooled without exposing the lamp to air and ballast included). I have an A/C unit right by where the tent will be, so keeping temps under control won't be a problem. My electrical bill may increase, but hopefully, in the long run, increased yields will cancel that out.
So here's my question. Given that I'd want to keep approx. 3 ft between the canopy and lamp (and factoring in the light fixture's size), I have approx. 4 feet of grow space. What grow strategy (ex. SOG) and plant count do you think would be best for this given setup? I'm not concerned with plant limits at the moment. I'm just more curious to know what everyone else thinks so that I can get back to learning and practicing more effectively.
