Stretching

Hi everyone. My 5 fem seeds have all sprouted and are looking good. I have them under 4ft 4 bulb T5s in my veg room at the moment. I have them in seedling containers right now and plan on transplanting into 1 gal containers in about 2 weeks. My question is when I do transplant could a put the plants deeper usual as a way to prevent stretching?

Yes, you can bury them deeper. I generally bury them so the first set of leaves are just above the soil line. To avoid stretching, make sure they are close enough to the light/ have enough light.

Cool, ya I have them about 5-5.5 inches from the light. I could maybe go a little closer but don't want to push it and burn the babies considering they're so young and delicate. It seems you can get your plants pretty close with T5s. What do you think about using T5s for the whole veg cycle? I'll be flowering under 1000watt hps in a 5x5x6.5 grow tent.
