Struggling with low humidity

Glad I read this. My humidity never goes over 40. For some reason it goes up and down but never above 40. Saw a damn gnat today and sat there and stared at the soil for a good couple minutes and didn't see another one since. Gonna get some BTi I think just to be safe.
what do you have on hand right now?

I don't have any pest control atm but as soon as I saw that gnat I did some research and I'm either gonna do a soil drench with neem or mosquito dunks maybe. What would you suggest, dia?

Id put a couple drops of dish soap (make sure its not antibacterial soap) into the watering can next water. should fix it. then let them dry out realllllllly good after that

your humidity should be around 80% at 30c, for optimum environment.

you guys don't see a difference because you never had it where it probably should b.

That's an excellent statement. I wish I could veg in 60-80% RH but it's a pain in the ass to try to humidify and keep fresh air at the same time except the idea of a swamp cooler. The only thing they are a pain with the type of water we have here in the desert, it's filled with calcium and shit that plugs up the evaporator material really fast. Other option would be a high output RO system to supply the cooler. I guess if I was good enough to do it for a living I'd go that route but for my needs I'm doing okay.

Seems an odd nickname lol. What's the reason behind it?
Factory bullshit at it's finest. You get pretty bored doing the same thing everyday so nicknames were always given after they had a chance to get to know you. I was training the QC people in injection molding when we set up a new plant here about 23 years ago. Since I was an instructor in plastic injection molding and wore a white coat that looked like a butcher... there ya go! I'm retired now... whew!

Did some factory work this year myself on a mound machine.

Back to the thread subject, got temps down and humidity is sitting in mid 30s now so it's a little better. Have to leave door zipped open on the tent though. Is this ok long term?

I "think" you should elevate the plantpots a bit inside the water catchers to avoid certain...what's wrong with my plant...future problems. I also "think" that a pump up garden sprayer could help.

Every thing in the greenroom sits in or on a trough that is equipped with a catch can so all the run off leaves the catcher. Even the cloning bin has a catch can/basin. This way you don't have to move the plant(s) to empty the "waste" water.

They are sat in saucers , do you mean sit them in something so the water doesn't stand around the bottom of the pots?

I'll find something to sit under them then? Would it be ok filling the saucer with gravel then sitting them on there?

Setup:
80x80x160 (cm) grow tent
Carbon filter and 4" extractor fan
12" desk fan
400 watt HPS bulb

Day 10 Seedling, Autos - Automatic AK

Plants look fine but everything I read tells me My humidity is to low, it is sitting at 30% at most during lights on, after a water. I've put a wet cloth in there, my watering jug and a glass of water which hasn't done much. I've got the desk fan and extractor fan running with all vents open to try keep temps down as that is really at recommended maximum (33-35c) I'm going to start opening the window during the day to try drop it some more but it's starting to get cold here now.

They are autos so really want the best conditions as time is limited.

Again, like everything I've not been sure about there are so many different guides, posts and discussions that say completely different things. I don't know if I'm worrying to much about things but it's better to check.

So what's people's advice/opinions?

Thanks.
Go on what the plants look like rather than what people say the room should be,if they look happy leave the room has it is
