Stunted growth? Temps?

Hello everyone. I think my plants growth is stunted even though they are healthy they aren't growing tall. Right now we are a few days into week one of flower after vegging for a month and they are still kinda small. I had 8 plants In soil in a 2x4 tent under a HLG 320XL which I removed two to put them in a seperate sent to be mothers. I don't have an AC because i took it out due to having an AC in the window during winter is kinda suspect. As of now I just leave the window cracked for airflow in the room but that can cause the temps to fluctuate between around 68 deg with the lights off to anywhere from 75-82 with the lights on. May that be causing my slow growth?

I topped all plants once while they were kinda short because they were developing slow. They are healthy and show no issues at all. I'm about to hit week two of flower and was gonna defoliafe if they got bigger but since they haven't I'll leave them.alone.

I'm doing an all organic soil grow 50/50 FFOF and Happy Frog with added per lite and EWC

It could just be genetics. I have some plants that take forever to veg and like to stay short. The only reason I keep them is because they taste awesome.

40s of rh is low. If you had that during veg, thats likely the problem. Should be in the 60s for veg. 40s for flower is fine. Also don't look that small, for topped 4 wk old plants. Could be better, but not awful. Could be the genetics, too. Those temps are fine.

It's 3 different genetics tho, Rogue OG Kush, Bridezilla and Gorilla Glue #4. I believe those are typically bigger genetics. But I know my humidity doesn't help at all. I put a small humidifier in the room I just have to fill it once or twice a day but it brought the RH up 50%. I'm not gonna put it inside the tent tho

LED lacks infrared light (that heats up surfaces it hits) so without IR light spectrum you need warmer temperatures to get leaf surface temps up to optimal.

You never mentioned strain. Many heavy indicas grow that very way with optimal conditions. Could be genetics. My guess is that they will produce minimal stretch when flowered, grow them big before the flip.

Four week veg with a topping thrown in to help them develop even slower. Seems you got what you were trying to achieve, small undersized plants. Was not the temp or humidity.
Um thanks....by the way myself and many others have topped and vegged that long before and have had larger plants. But appreciate the input.

Yeah you may be right these are all new strains to me. They've been flowering a few days and I havent seen any stretching yet. So we shall see. Maybe they will surprise me

Did you warm it up in there yet?

It's been hitting 85 a good amount. I think somehow my soil may be too dense for good root penetration. It's a 50/50 mix of ffof and happy frog with added perlite and a little ewc along with a tad bit of dolomite lime. I noticed that when watering that the water has a hard time seeping through the soil. Other than that everything seems good except growth is stalled, there's no Defienciency and nothing is dying that's for sure. And I definitely don't have room to transplant from 3 gal to 5 gallons. Only thing is I'm starting to hate the grow bags because the water runs out the sides of them. So now I'm starting to wonder if the water has actually been fully penetrating.

I've Been trying to water without runoff to keep microbes in check. But so far no nutes, all water but I haven't PHed at all this grow and maybe I should check my soil ph

Nothing wrong with those temps. It could be genetic and some don’t stretch a lot. But if there is no stretch then maybe your light is too close. Probably.
Move it higher UNTIL they stretch, and then drop it until you find the sweet spot.
I like to keep it way high at seedling and just let them grow into it. The light never moves. 36-40 at seedling. 18-24” at flower

Yeah unfortunately I had it high with no stretch . I'll let it play out maybe they will surprise me.

That is a little cool for LED.

Keep the temps up around 85 F or growth will slow to a crawl.
Really?
I am just learning a bit about LED.
I've heard that before; but when I ask our local guru he tells me that as long as temps are above 75F its all good. But in an HID room, 75 degree ambient means 80+ at the canopy. So, what you're saying makes sense, logically.

I'm trying to figure out what's what ...
So I need to keep ambient (room) temp at 85F or so?
