my plants shot up over three inches in one night is it bad? i don't know

Yep, it's horrible! You mean to tell me your plants are GROWING? God forbid....

lol, all teasing aside, I can't see how it could be bad, unless they're STRETCHING...cuz yeah, stretch is bad....

How old are your plants?

After u have repotted plants they will shoot up and also when u swich the lights quickly from 18/6 to 12/12 or they could be streaching cuz theres not enough light.

you should post pictures so we can tell you if it is indeed good or bad.

if your plant is bushy then its good.

if your plant looks stretched like its trying to reach more light thats bad because that means less bud for you!!

but without pictures its hard to say!

maybe they grew right out the pots an fucked off to somewhere with more light
