Sugar Cane Syrup

Can this be used like Molasses,when watering my babies?
I wondered if it might be better for the plants since its natural sugar.Has anybody tried using it at all?

It's the same thing kiddo.

Except the clear stuff is not nearly as nutritional as the black strap. darker the better... no sulphur

But they both come from sugar cane...... beets too, but same result...darker the better for plants.
