My sulfur burner destroyed most of my shade leaves.
I was too cheap to buy the $180 sulfur vaporizer, so I decided to use a hot plate instead. Turns out I had it turned too hot, so the sulfur burned instead of vaporizing. The small flame wasn't out of control and I vented the room when I discovered the problem (60 minutes in).... but as soon as my lights came on the next day most of my shade leaves burned as if they were too close to the lights. Burned and died.
So this is a warning to all you ghetto sulfur burners out there..... simmer down, simmer down......
And my question is whether shade leaves will grow back?!? I'm 10 days into flower. It looks like the plants will live and produce something.... But they just look so naked! I'm sure my yield will be affected.
The worst part is that I don't even have PM. I was trying to do this as a preventative... a prophylactic. So I guess I learned "if it ain't broke don't fix it!"
