Super cheap temporary grow room

It'll do till I can get a tent at end of month. Bit of a smell right now, hopefully just dust on bulb, cardboard not crispy (yet!) and bulb not touching sides, when closed.

Nice bit of improv!! maybe cut a Hole in the top for any heat to escape, could also line it with Mylar or Panda film..n maybe a Little USB Fan for Air movement...

Sorry oldtoker but all i can see is fire fire fire!!!!!!! you would be better off without the box. And if thats not a clf light you are frying that young plant. You should have waited another week to start it. that way when it popped up you would have your tent. if you can take it all down and put it in a window till you have what you need. The first rule of growing should be safety safety safety. for you and others around you. 50% of people that get busted growing is due to fires. SORRY oldtoker

Will make it closable for when guests turn up. And yes its a 135 watt cfl, i'll keep checking it to see if temp builds up to much and its 6 hours off will be when im in bed, one person is generally in, so it wont go unattended. I agree it would be better without the box but it would be less stealthy. I'll keep an eye on it. thx mike4c4 for the advice.

EDIT:- Smoke alarm about 2 metres from box and working.

my first grow was in a Frigidaire box.. i had a 150 hps and 2 plants.. got almost 3oz from the 2 in a box.. not bad for a first grow.. now i get almost a half pound a plant..

CFL give off very little Heat! you do have to be Safe, but as long as you got at least 5-6" space from all the sides of the Bulb you should be fine.. what is it a 125w? and if you cut a Flap in the top for any? Heat to escape again you should be fine(use your Hand) between Bulb and Plant...if your Hand getting Hot then so is your Lady..in which case raise the light maybe a inch or 2..can also feel the box around the Bulb to see if its getting Warm...one thing I would say is make sure you 100% about Fixture/Chain on the light..you don't want any mishaps in that respect.
