Was just choppin some an found this mold in the middle....super pissed.......What is this and is it treatable?? I dont use any foliar spraying and I find it odd that it is in the middle of bud...Guess it's cuz more moisture ....But I do use those bagged co2 that have white mold in em...Think they could cause this?

yep, had that happen to me when i was growing in a very humid basement once. looked exactly like that. sucks....
 
and i had a buddy who was willing to smoke it. i wasn't. but he didnt die or get sick. not that im saying smoke it. i still wouldn't lol

u can try it my old man grows alot got about 2 p of bud that looked like that he chucked it in the sun for about a week bagged it and smoked it
 
Bud rot. I have a couple of really dense strain that have this problem. try 35% relative humidity in the last two weeks of flowering, wet trim the flowers and break all the colas down to their bracts and dry it that way.

?? Would bud rot be all white like that ? ??

It's difficult to see close at the picture but wolly aphids will leave behind a all white mold looking gunk

Well IDK how much or airflow I could put in there ...I pump in air from outside via the C/A unit.....and run it 24/7...with 250cfm exhaust ....im a 4 x4x7....and I even leave the little flaps open @ bottom that doesn't seem adequate?
 
When you have a strain that has dense buds I recommend pulling the buds apart (fluff them) so they can get air inbetween. I do this with my grape ape,its very dense. I also battle bud rot due to the rainy weather conditions
Cut off the moldy part and wax the rest
 
Lol those CO2 bags are so shitty and overpriced. I bought mushroom kits off amazon for oyster and portobello mushrooms, I am sure it makes the same amount of CO2 plus more for your money and fridge.

I mean if that's the only nug that's moldy I'd toss the nug but if everything is fucked then I'd make some butter or some shit.

Do some quality control haha
 
bumming man, ive been tossing nugs because I didn't dry them enough before jarring. It sucks, ive tried smoking some but it is not enjoyable at all. Ive tossed at least a QP.

^and can you make butter with it? I would imagine you could taste the mustiness. And does the mold bake off? or just becoming part of the butter? Ive been interested in making some.
 
I'd butter it if it's not toxic mold. You smoked it and your alive, that's means you can eat the butter lol. Or make a tincture
