Super Thirsty During Final Flowering??

I have three Sour D plants and one Tangerine Kush plant between 50- and 60 inches tall. They have about 40-50% red hairs as of todayand close to harvest. Ive noticed that my normal watering cycle is now leaving the plants pretty droopy by the time I get to them.
- Im assuming that based on the size and the stage its safe to say they need to be watered more often. RIght?
-Since they are within 2wks> of harvest, There isnt much damage some extra water would do anyway right?
-I think the idea of not watering them for the final week makes no sense and is ineffective (if not dangers) to the plants. Agree or disagree?

Looks good man, only thing I would suggest from what I have done/ heard, is don't water the night before, try and plan it so your harvest is close to water day.
I just water when I feel like the pot has nothing in it but soil, or I see her starting to droop (usually a day after I think it's ready for water).
What do you think of the SD.?
I got an SD. going right now, with a couple toppings, and a lot of LST, been vegging for almost 5 weeks now, but I'm keeping it short, wanting a short finish and knowing it's a heavy Sativa.

Thanks. Ive heard that no water the last day or so will help dry time, yes. Not sure if I buy into it for the purpose of stressing the plant to supposed produce more tichs. I use the same method as you generally but since they are so big and top heavy, I stopped picking them up. to check

PS: I actually am not a big SD fan or of sativias in general - although I have had some I enjoyed. I tend to stick to pure indicas or strong hybrids for the purpose of how i medicate for my RA. But I got these four plants for free from a buddy who had to up and move out of state ASAP, So I'm not going to bitch

PSS: Im hoping to get 2ish OZs a plant. Doesnt seem unrealistic for the their size does it?

I didn't mean to starve or throw them into a drought, just don't water the morning before you plan to chop.
Also, it is said that harvesting right when lights are due to come on is better than at lights off, due to degradation of trichs due to the UV.
I can't really tell from the pics, since they don't show overall size of whole plant, but the buds you show look like they're nice and soplid, so I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, but for reference, I pulled 2.71 oz, off of this plant, in a 2x2 area under 300w of CFL's.

Odd, I typically see the opposite in my plants...as they go further in flower, they tend to need less water. Any change in temps?

It's pretty simple. No matter how fast your plants do or do not drink, keep them happy when they need it! Some plants will be diff than others. In my exp heavy yielders require more water in late flower.

Jericho - No change in temps, Im able to regulate pretty well.

Medical Grade - Thats been my general rule but I was a little concerned about over-watering as the change has been pretty quick and dramatic. Even if I did over do it, with only two weeks left Im guessing it couldnt do all that much harm - could it? I would assume no since a some growers are doing major flushing around this stage

I plan to flush a little bit but I dont over use nutes so Im not worried about taste being impacted.

Watering doesn't change for me due to an upcoming harvest. If they need it, they get it. I do try to set my harvest point to at least 2 days after a watering - so in that way my harvest day is more dictated by the plant. I believe in flushing - though find some of the arguments against equally compelling to my reason for flushing. I tend to do this about a week away from estimated readiness, top up afterwards with a low dose of fresh nutes, and see how they develop over the week. If they need a bit more water then I'll give it to them and maybe put the harvest back a few days, or not and pull them earlier. Try and remain flexible to reading the signs from your plant - I would say your thinking that letting the plant go dry and droopy was a bad thing means your instincts are in the right direction, trust them and research where there is doubt. Bumping w/ update

Im watering it till I see a little bit coming out the bottom (little pre flush for harvest) about every 48hrs (or even 36) and its still drooping and looking sad. Heres an updated pic from tonight. Since Im putting enough in there to see it run through (and I do stagger the water, I dont just dump it all at once till it leaks) Im not sure how to give it more and I dont want to drown the roots.

Water till I flood it? Light Foliage sprays? Im lost.

Have you tried watering more (to soak the whole pot from stem to rim) to see if you can water less frequently?
For my 5 gals. I usually run about a gallon and half through it every 3-4 days, but they do go through a week or two here and there where they won't need water until the 4th or 5th day, or maybe the other way around, and a week of every other day.
Has your RH changed/ dropped?

Dude, water your girls!!! "Drowning the roots" should be your last concern at this point, considering the plant is nearing the end of its life cycle. Those girls looks thirsty, and they are more than likely root-bound also (Could be slightly contributing the the wilting)

Don't feel bad pouring gallons of water on each of them man! Just think about nature...The water comes and it goes. And sometimes when it comes, it REALLY comes (i.e. floods, hurricanes). Don't think you are going to harm your girls by a couple of really thorough waterings. Just my opinion though!!

No big changes in RH or otherwise. Im worrying a lot because I go out of town tomorrow for a week and my wife is left to care for them and since even I am unsure whats going on I am worried about it.

Aside from just NOT watering them at all, could anything bad really happen 7-10 from harvest?

I like your opinion, I was kind of hoping to hear that.

Cant over-watering exhibit the same issues as under-watering can?

But like you said I dont think I can do much damage with water at this point.
