Hi there!
This is my first post, but I have been actively growing on and off since 1998 when I grew a pair of Cinderella 99 seeds I got from a friend I met on a growing website as I was learning how to do all this.
Anyway, my current setup is in a 6x6 walkin closet in my apartment. It isn't particularly set up for growing really. Just white painted walls and a few fans for ventilation and I just keep the closet door open when the lights are on. Windows black curtained out because I work late and sleep late.
I'm currently running a DWC bucket bubbler for two plants. I got this particular strain from a dealer buddy who collected together the extremely rare seeds he would find in a bag. He claims these seeds came from a bag of Gorilla Glue #4. But he's not totally sure.
All I know is
A) If they came from a bag of his stuff, it was most certainly a self fertilization and therefore feminized seeds. With possible hermie traits.
B)They are the most vigorous and wild plants I have ever grown.
I have been amazed by every stage of growth by these things. I use rockwool with netcups and just run hoses from 8 dollar pumps up into the buckets on a timer set to run 10 minutes every 6 hours under a 400 watt HPS and a 250 watt HPS as a supplement. I use straight General Hydroponics MaxiGro/Bloom One Tspn per gallon. 3 gallons per plant.
I planted the seeds directly into the rockwool on December 20th. They both sprouted by Xmas. They instantly began growing at a faster rate than any plants I had seen. 1 and 1/2 inches or more a day, non stop. On Jan 1 at 8 inches I topped them. 15 days later they had grown into two perfectly round bushes that were 28 inches in diameter. The node spacing was so short I couldn't believe it.
So Jan. 20 came and they began hairing up completely on their own! I had heard about auto flowering strains but this was ridiculous. They were on 24,hrs of light and formed the first small calyxes.
Every plant I ever grew needed at least 45 days to begin alternating nodes. These did it in 25 and 5 days later produced hair.
I wanted to wait until at least Feb 1 to start flowering but the plants forced my hand. Their veg was so robust that they colonized a 6 x 3 area of the closet and showed no signs of slowing plus they already were hairing up so I kicked it on 12/12 on January 25th.
I have been keeping an extremely close eye out for hermie traits but so far all I have are some very nice cotton ball buds forming all over the canopy and it has extended so far half of one plant is under the 250 watt lamp 32 inches away from the center 400w lamp.
I decided that if these monsters want to hog out then I would give them the light they need. I bought an installed a 1000w lamp today. Time to see how these girls finish out. Picture as of today below.
