So I said screw payin 6g's for a fucken 'buddha tent' from supercloset and put a plan together to just turn an entire room into a vertical ponic system. So I think I got the main ideas ironed out:
The frame is an 8x8x8 feet. Going SWC system w/2 1000 gallon per hour pumps (only have one right now... shit is expensive!) cycling a 40 gallon res(...might need another one haven't got that far in the build) to feed thirty, 27.5"x6"x3.75" totes. I cut two holes in each tote, and then added a 1-1/8th in. hose to one of the holes for drainage purposes (see overhead tote pic). The room fan that's in the last pick will be removed and replaced w/a vertical hood that'll house 2 1000w Metal halides. Thinking about a 440 cfm fan to cool the lights. Other than that central A/C FTW... I know I still have more work (i.e. mylar, trellis, etc.), but I need some advice... I'm thinking about growing four plants in each tote; with the use of pruning and LST tactics (hanging the buds from a trellis that will sit between the shelves and the light) giving me 120 sites to grow in total. I plan to space the plants between pump and drain to prevent clogging, but I havent done anything like this in my freakin life so Im way past "uncharted territory" already and could really use some advice from more experienced growers. Thank you everyone in advance for any positive feedback or suggestions
