Wassup yall, this is my second time growing and i need advice.
-is it ok to use Professional potting mix, SCOTTS premium potting soil, or seed starting jiffy mix?
-for my lights i have bought a 4ft UtiliTech Lamp fixture with T8 Daylight Fluorescent tubes (4ft) 6500K 30w.

I would like to know if the lamps are fine, and which potting soil is the best to use right now.

i need help because my first time growing went ok. i got the feel of how the marijuana grows, it actually got about 3-4 inches taller than me and im 5'9.
The buds came out to only 4-5grams. is that normal for the 1st time grower?
i used a dome lamp with a Daylight flood light. i think where i went wrong with the buds coming out that small, i didnt wait LoL. i seen them flowering and my eyes got watery and my lips were super wet so about half ah month later i cut one to try it and then i ended up cutting them all and LoL......on no bullshit i took about a pinky nail hit from my bowl, and i was pretty blown. about an Ls worth.. LoL

but please let me know what i could be doing wrong.
and also, how do i keep my plant short in height? i dont like it that tall..

LoL well i mean that was last summer. its dead now.
but can u help me as if i was a 1st time grower? LoL
i wanna start from scratch and do things right.

i gave yall my potting mixes and lights.
can yall help me to choose wich one of those choices of mix i got is best?
and if my lights are fine?

the soil and lights are fine man, just dont use any soil with nutrients in it untill they are older. if you only have these kinds, and i think the scotts has nutes dont know about the other, start your seeds in some moss coco rockwoll or just yard soil (if its ok) for a week or two then transplant into these soils.

ill bet the reason your first grow only yielded a few grams was because you jumped the gun, and harvested as soon as you saw buds. flowering takes 8+ weeks

lol yea i cut them after 3-4 weeks. they were very small. but hit me like ah ton of bricks.

very premature, youll be knocked off your ass when you smoke your own fully grown and cured primo home grown
