I tried my first grow 2 years ago.I had a divorce and for a while I was afraid to grow.I plan on taking my 1000water out again.I grow because I have cronic pain,And I like to give a lot away to people I know need it but cant afford it.The last time I grew was from bag seed.A white widow indica strain.and some durban poisin bag seed.I realy liked the uniformity of the widows.but this time I wanted to grow out green house fems indica, sativa mix .that way i have more of a chance of finding a queen mother for my garden.I heard sativas had longer flowering times. But is that from seed or by clone.Well to refraze it .Or to rehaze it .Is my arjan#3going to take 13weeks or wil it take shorter of a 3or 6month old mother plant.Well any way my room was 12 1/2x6ft .I centered a 6 foot light rail and hung a1000wat hortilx eye.6inch inline fan into an air sock.used advanced nutrients 3 part fertilizer.subculture, and liquid light.and I used no sodium seltzer water .The thing is I want to double my grow space And run a sealed room.My question is does any one use swamp fans to cool lights and co2 burners. If so do I need a de humidifier
Well that sure is alot of questions... Where do i start?
Yes any haze, or sativa dominant strain is going to take longer, in some cases much longer, than any indica or indica dominant plant. Some indicas bloom in as little as 42 days. Some sativas can take up to 13 weeks to BLOOM. In your case, Yes arjan is going to be ALOT longer than say a widow, somewhere in the nieghborhood of 12 weeks
To answer your question about seeds and clones. The flowering time is not going to vary very much. A clone is an exact replica of your seed so you can expect pretty much the same from both. a clone can be flowered EARLIER because obviously it has reached maturity, but as for LENGTH OF FLOWERING TIME, they should be pretty much the same, although seeds usually are a BIT more vigorous than a clone.
Greenhouse is the SHIT. I would look for the Super Lemon Haze, or one of the lemon strains because they taste and smell AMAZING.
2 questions... WTF would you use selzer water for? Never heard of that one. I think it produces co2, is that the reason? And why a light mover rather than 2 1k's or 2 600's? You will like your results much better, i promise. I guess a light mover will work, and if your doing it for electricity concerns, then i guess i understand. All i know is if i was growing a long blooming sativa like haze, using a light mover i would probably end up pulling my hair out waiting for those fuckers to finish. OMG it must take FOREVER for your buds to ripen!
Why the inline fan INTO the airsock? Ideally an airsock (if im thinking of the correct thing) goes on the INTAKE part of the duct, not the EXHAUST.
Now you have a couple of options as to what to do when you double your room. You say you want to run a sealed room. Obviously you know this involves no intake/exhaust, and does require A/C and co2 enrichment. I can tell you this, i have never used a swamp fan before, but more likely than not you will need an A/C unit. A good rule of thumb is 3500BTU per 1k light. Also factor in your Co2 BURNER, ballasts & anything else that may create heat. Let me make a suggestion, if you dont already own a burner, and you are worried about heat, maybe purchase bottled co2? Either way you do it, you will need a monitor if you want to have your co2 levels at optimum levels at all times. For a burner you
NEED a monitor, as it could kill you or your neighbors if your in an apartment/townhouse. A GREAT monitor is the Sentinal CHHC-1 controller. Does MANY of the things you want and you can tie them all together to work in harmony. Intake/Exhaust (ifyou choose to use it), Co2, Temp, Humidity, Lights ETC. Very nice piece of equipment. Can find it for $500 if you look in the right places. If you use BOTTLED co2, you could theoretically use those stupid $10 needles that measure you co2 level ONE time, and are then trash. Still would need a regulatorr on a timer, and youd be doing alot of guessing.
As for the dehumidifier, it just depends on where you live in the world, and your certain conditions, which none of us could possibly know. If you humidity is going on 70% in veg or 60% in flowering (and these are the absolute extremes), yes you will need one. The thing about the CHHC-1 it can tie ALL of this together and it will all work in perfect harmony. Really worth the money man i can't stress it enough. It monitors your levels and automatically switches on whatever it is you need. A/C, co2, humid/dehumid, lights, intake/exhaust... all kinds of shit!
