Will this cause any stress to my plants? I'd hate to accidentally start them into flowering or anything like that. I've been lazy and haven't had an automatic timer so I've just been doing 24/0 for the last 2-3 weeks.
Switching from 24/0 to 16/8

i don't think it will hurt them or send them into flower, weed is a photoperiod plant, night has to go to AT LEAST 10 hours before it will start to flower, unless you're fooling around with far red light, which most people don't do.
i personally go 18/6 during veg, i have a couple of friends who go 24/0, their plants grow faster in veg, but i get better yields, because my plants have more than a skeletal root structure.
