Switching light cycle in Veg???

So I'm running an 18/6 cycle. I wanna switch for the last 2 weeks of the cycle to 24/0. Is this a good idea? What are the possible ramifications of this?

You may have a higher electric bill with no additional benefit.

I would leave in 18/6 from what I have read seen from older post and peoples experience roots grow better with a dark period.

If you were running 24/0, it would be okay to change to 18/6 for the last few veg weeks, but not the other way around
