Switching nutes in DWC, first week of flower, OK or no?

Is it fine to switch nutrients during flower?

I've been using Technaflora "recipe for success" kit for a few years now, but it has become very costly for some of the nutrients they have, and my pH is all over the place constantly. Plus it feels a little dated when I compare to other brands.

I want to switch to Advanced Nutrients 3 part Micro, Bloom, Grow. I also want to get the "Hobbyist Bundle" and the "Expert Grower" from Advanced Nutes as well which would include the following: VooDoo juice, B-52, Overdrive, Big Bud, Pirhana, Bud Candy, and Flawless Finish.

Am I fine to switch the nutrients from Technaflora to Advanced Nutrients 3 days into flower?

What is everyone's experience with Advanced Nutes in DWC/Hydroponics? They have a feed chart on their site, do you follow that strictly, or use less/more amounts then they suggest?

Does the pH really stay consistent like Advanced Nutrients claims? Or is that sort of a gimmick?

Thanks for any help!!

What do you mean by "dated"? The plants nutritional needs haven't changed for thousands of years. The only thing that has changed is you can now buy a bunch of overpriced nutrient "lines" that you don't need.

What's better about Advanced Nutrients? Is it fancy labels or the cool sounding names? You dump that much stuff on your plants and you're pH will be all over the place no matter what you use.

Hobbyist bundle and Expert grower lines. Good grief.

More bottles is not better! I'm not sure how much technaflora costs, but advanced is very expensive.

I've tried a variety of nutrients over the years. My absolute favorite is called Envy. I'm on my phone so I'm not gonna try to link the website right now.

Envy is an amazing nutrient, it's a 2 part that gets used throughout the whole growth cycle of your plants. You just adjust how much you add to meet your plants needs.

Once my ph is set it stays fairly stable in my 40 gallon res. I top of my res with nutrients or plain water depending on what my plants need.

Envy is not a typical cannabis oriented nutrient. It's just designed to grow healthy plants. So in turn it is much more cost effective while still providing everything a healthy plant needs!

That is a really cool idea from what I'm seeing so far. Do you have experience with this product? Seems very easy, just add about a tbsp to my 4 gallon reservoir and its good. Do you add anything else during flowering phase? Thanks for the input!
The stuff is easy peasy, and it really made my plants thrive. Cannabis and veggie garden. I've used their bud explosion with no complaints as well. I prefer to weigh MC, but it can be done either way. Just check ppm's and ph, and your good to go.

Thank you for the help! You convinced me, I just ordered from Green Leaf. I ordered Mega Crop, Bud Explosion, and CalMag (the strains I'm growing THRIVE on calcium) all for $25 and it will get me through a good amount of grows. Sounds too good to be true ha. I also ordered an EC pen from Amazon, as I want to measure my nutrients that way, seems more effective.

If I could just ask a few more Q's, you've been good help! Do you follow the feeding chart on their site for EC, or do you have a set EC level you aim for?

Does the Mega Crop mix need to be shaken each time to ensure you are getting equal levels of everything when applying to water? Or do you just pour and trust that everything is mixed well?(I would hate if all of something was at the bottom of the bag and not being used.)

Can't wait to try this line of nutrients out!

I use a spoon to scoop out the MC, I just make sure to get a equal-ish amount of the little balls and the powder. 1 gram per gallon for seedlings and up 4+ gpg for bigger plants. It dissolves pretty quick, the BE takes a few minutes to mix. You're actually getting a different formula than I have, they just changed a few things based off of customer input. Check out the MC thread, there's tons of info over there.

Also get yourself some kind of air tight container with a rubber seal. You can't let the humidity in the air touch this stuff for too long or it will clump up.
