Switching photoperiod?

so just mid way flower.....lol. I'd honestly like to change my Light period to day time when we have AC blasting. Have any of you effectively changed hours of your photoperiod like near full 12hr difference? Ex lights on now at 9pm would like to change to 9am

its fine, done it a couple times. I bargained with my power company and if I installed y smart meters and my apps they would cut me a massive break on my "company" electric bill, about 45% of what it was. My plan allowed my largest consumption to happen between 11-11 so I changed up and its awesome for my life and my plants and my wallet.

start anytime but always with an extended dark period not an extended light period.
my room controls are otherwise spot on with no issues ever, my healthy plants dont seem to mind a bit when I did this.

I've had my light schedule reset two times on the current grow. The power has gone out twice during the night. The timer stop running. Where the light came on at 5a.m.. It now comes on at around 8a.m. (I adjusted a few hours off the timer so they wouldn't come on at 11a.m..)

Like Chem put it. Give them an extended dark period till the time you want it to come on. Leave the light off for a day and turn it on at 9a.m.. They still get 12 hours light after an extra 12 hours of dark. Golden rule, no more then 12 hours of light during flower. When they get it can be adjusted without issue.

2 yrs ago my power was out for 2 weeks! every year it goes out for extended times, sometimes for a day sometimes five. Over the years I perfected my issues with this, generator ready ballasts, auto on ac units, battery back up timers, etc. and those heavy ass wheel around generators.

The longest period I every went without an interruption is the one between now and back when I paid 8k for a 22kwh install lol, like an insurance policy!

Big reason why I went to soil from hydro. Power outage will seriously Jack things up.

I've done it too and I run perpetual. My AC kicked out so I needed to run lights at night.
My plants never skipped a beat.

Extended dark shouldn't be a prob but extended light for more than one night will seriously wreak havoc

Although obviously its not an ideal situation,there have been times when I was more or less ordered to put my grow out of commission for a day or two when Grandkids were staying overnight etc--so the light got switched off--usually for 24 hours or so--the plant didn't seem to suffer. I suspect what Tangerine above says is true--a day or two of dark is saveable but a day or two of light brings problems.
