Hey everyone. I just ordered a 1000w hps and my question is, do new calyxes form as i change from 150w to 1000w? Bc im in the 8th week of flowering and only half of the preflowers have filled up (but not really big or anything) meanwhile the rest just have a bunch of pistils ..
ND my other question, does trainwreck really finish in 8 weeks??!

Those are both calibration questions. Depends on the atmosphere on the 1000watts and the 8weeks. More close you are to perfect atmosphere the faster it finshes

It seems as though it is as it is growing mushrooms in the soil which shows great nutrients going in/out of the babies.

Bro I'm not a pro or anything but I dont think you want mushrooms growing in your soil. Wouldn't that mean your soil is extremely moist for long periods?

In terms of wattage, you're really going from the outhouse to the Whitehouse. Expect a vast difference in growth patterens, but switching during a flowering cycle to this higher wattage isn't probably the best option. Remember, you're simulating Autumn with a hps bulp, as opposed to a halide, shortening the day cycle, lowering temps, etc. To suddenly increase the light intensity isn't a natural occurrence in this process.

I don't have evidence to back up what I'm saying, only logic. And although you aren't increasing the hours, that drastic of a light change will probably spark some unwanted vegetative growth. Ideally, you'd think it would really cause those buds to explode and increase resin production.
