it all depends on how much you wanna spend on the nutes m8.. my first couple of grows, i went with the fox farm line of products.. the grow big, big bloom and tiger bloom, along with their three supplemental's, the cha ching, open sesame and beastie bloom... works great, and failry easy to use.. i have also used some general hydroponics nutes as well.. had good results using their micro veg and bloom nutes..
i've now switched to advanced nutrients line, and i have to admit that the stuff i got, isn't all that easy to use as say the fox farms stuff was for me.. its just that i've got about 12 or so different bottles of stuff that i have to mix anywhere from 20mls down to about 2 mls of different stuff to a gallon of water.. not that its hard, just more time consuming than the fox farms gear was..

I think you should get a metal halide light when you can so that the plants can get lights from every spectrum. I also would recommend a cfl light with blue spectrum. I had a 150w cfl grow light(blue spectrum) and a 400w hps. The hps light hangs from the ceiling and my cfl grow lights hangs on a crate closer to the ground. I then rotate the plants every day so that they can all recieve equal amount of light from the blue spectrum. That would be enough for a growroom the size you desire. I am upgrading to a metal halide in conjunction with the hps. I use fox farm nutes. They are the Big bloom, grow big, blossom builder and the rest of the solubles. I would highly recommend to start out with low doses. I tried feeding my plant a good size dosage of my nutes, but it had an adverse effect on my plants growth.

If you are in soil that has nutes in it you may not need much. I add as little as possible, only if they ask, and get my best results that way. Sometimes they like a little N for the stretch when they go in, but after that avoid high N because it decreases bud potency. Just keep them watered, deep water when they feel a little light to the heft. Don't add anything if they are happy, other than more-or-less neutral stuff like Molasses, and they should be fine.

Cfl's, lmao. Fuck all that nonsense. I would say botanicare bloom and liquid karma. The LK had lots o' good stuff in it like trace minerals, amino acids and folic/ fluvic acids.

You may consider scrogging to even put the canopy. Your hps bulb has little strength to penetrate down low. If you want more buds, get a 400 watter.
